My husband and I live two blocks from DeStefano's and were very excited to see a new neighborhood restaurant opening. We first dined here on opening night and were blown away by how great the food was. One of their cooks was out sick that first night so the service was a tad slow, but the owner explained everything to us and was incredibly nice and apologetic. We've dined there several times since that night and the service is always prompt and friendly. The owner greets us by name now, even when we bump into him out and about in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable and the walls are covered with old photos from Brooklyn and Joe's family and friends. The food is always delicious and creative with Italian (and sometimes other ethnic) twists on the traditional steakhouse fare. It's a tad pricey for the neighborhood, but the quality of the food and service is well worth it.
Pros: Excellent food, friendly service, quiet location
Cons: Slightly pricey
