I purchased my wedding dress from this store in 2004 for my June 2005 wedding. First of all, I went in with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon to look at dresses shortly after my husband proposed, and they gave me a hard time about not having an appointment. There was one other person in the store! That should have been my first clue about their service (or lack thereof). I came back a few months later (with, of course, an appointment) with my mother an a few of my bridesmaids on a Saturday afternoon. Unless you are looking to get a migrane, avoid this place on Saturdays at all costs! I tried on many, many dresses, and finally decided on a beautiful lace covered dress. I am very short, so I decided to pay the extra $150 for a hollow-to-hem measurement, and the gal helping me assured me that it would come in the exact length that I had ordered. WRONG. I got this dress 4 inches too long, and all they would tell me is ""well, our alterations dept. can fix that...I think a hem like yours will be around $300"" JUST FOR THE HEM! I refused (because it was supposed to be ordered the EXACT length I requested), asked for a full refund, and told them I would take my business elsewhere. They reluctantly got a manager involved, she was very nice and said that alterations would do it for free because of the mixup. So that was fine until I went to get the alterations done, they sold me a bra and slip for my dress THAT WERE USED! The slip was dingy on the inside, so it had obviously been worn, and the bra had pit stains in it. I asked for a refund, and again they refused! Another call to the manager and they were replaced with brand new ones. Not only that, but my dress had detachable spaghetti straps AND THEY LOST THEM! Lost part of my dress! And they said they could make new ones for me (for a price). This place is awful. I will never, ever let a friend or acquaintance shop here. The manager was nice but everyone else who works here is EXTREMELY RUDE!
Pros: Large selection
Cons: Rude service and poor business practices
