I hadn't been to Escapes for a few years until recently when I went again and it was just awful. The last time I went they were in a different location, just across the parking lot from where they are now, and it was a very pleasant experience. They were very professional, the setting was very relaxing, everything was the way a spa should be - private dressing areas, robes, slippers, quiet waiting areas. I thought they were doing a very nice job. When I heard they had moved I figured that they were expanding, but I guess they must be under new ownership because this was NOT the place I had been to before. It was horrible! I walked in the door to a tiny waiting room and a reception desk that looked chaotic. There was nothing that said spa to me. It was poorly lit, messy, completely uninviting...I should have shut the door behind me and left. When I left the waiting area to go to the restroom, I realized that this place was a dump. I don't know what happened to Escapes, but it was not good. The massage room looked like it was being used for additional storage, and the shabby furnishings everywhere had me creeped out. The actual massage itself wasn't bad which is why I didn't rate as low as I could have. I will definitely NOT be back.
