North Raleigh Psychiatry - Average, not bad, not great 10/10/2007

I've been going to NRP for about 7 months and I see Dr. Clapacs. Dr. Clapacs is a nice enough guy, at first I didn't think he cared much about what I had to say and was just waiting for my 15 minutes was up so he could write me a prescription and walk me out. However; to be totally fair he did say that his primary method of practice was to prescribe medication to adults so I can't really fault him as he tole me this up front. The office is a little hard to find but very nice and clean. I, personally, have found the staff at this office to be police and curtious. Most appointments are on time or at most 10 minutes late (depending on when during the day your appointment is I suppose- most of mine in the AM). I do get the impression that they (the Dr.'s) are VERY tight with their prescriptions, they keep good records and make sure that enough time should have passed in order to write you another prescription. Regarding refills, my experience has been 1 for 2. Once I called the office and left a v/m and they called it in right away, another time I called it in and they took more than 4 days to call it in. Pros: Dr. does listen carefully and take good notes. Makes sure what he prescribes will not have adverse affects with anything else you are taking. Cons: Kind of hard to find the office. Leaving a voice mail for a refill can be delayed. more
