This restaurant is a poor excuse for mexican food. First impression walking in is that it is dirty. I should have turned around and made this my last, but I am often too critical according to my husband. My final impression is that this place is filthy! We had to sit at the bar because the locals wait indefinently it seems for a table. The bartender that served us was smoking cigarettes behind the bar. He never washed his hands before serving us. Furthermore, he finished off the left over drinks that he was mixing. I have to wonder if the owners are paying off people, because this place doesn't appear to have ever been seen by a health inspector or a member of liquour review board. The food. Disgraceful. With Mexican Town just about 15 minutes down the freeway, it would have been a smarter trip. The salsa (somewhat chunky) is served in containers that maple syrup is served in. You can barely get anything out. We ordered a combination plate and enchilada dinner. Everything was dry! The tamale didn't even resemble one, It looked like it was scraped off of someone else's plate. We had to ask for clean silverware (dirty silverware was rolled up in our napkins). Oh, and there is a charge for chips & salsa at this place. You are not told about this when ordering. I have never been to a mexican restaurant and been charged for chips & salsa. It's not even worth it. I would highly discourage anyone from trying this place. Del Taco across the street would have been better.
Pros: Large, and although many people were at the door, you can probably get seated quickly.
Cons: Dirty, poor food, bad service.
