Someone have told me about this place few weeks ago and I thought it was too far to drive just to get Thai food, since severals are already within 15 minutes of where I live. Last week I saw them in Creative Loafing, I was impressed with the review and thought to go there whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Yesturday, I saw them again in Dekalb Neighbors newspaper, I decided to check them out. I called my fiance and changed our plans. There we went. It was one of our best dining experiences, and it's the best Thai food I've had. The place was simple but beautiful. The ambience was great, with tree, waterfall and classical Thai music. Beer & Wine list was extensive with so many differenct organic beers and wines I've ever seen in one place. We both started off our meal with a 13% alchohol volume Belgian beer (I don't remember the name). That was excellent. Then we ordered satay and larb for appetizers, 3 flavors red snapper and basil lamb for entrees, and a bottle of Jadot's 2004 Pouilly Fuisse. My fiance and I were completely amazed with every single dishes that came out. The presentations, the flavors, the freshness of ingredients...we thought we were in paradise. After our entree, we didn't think we could handle any dessert, but.. well we shared fried bananas with honey. Again, we were amazed at how light and how tasty organic banana was. In summary, we had the greatest time. As we were leaving, we realized we just had a wonderful fine dining experience in our shorts. This restaurant deserves all the media coverages they received and more. We definately will be telling everybody we know about it.
