Well - the evening started out on a sour note, but improved. We were a little early so we odered drinks at the bar. Two martinis came to $19 w/out tip and the young woman puring drinks barely filled the glasses to the half-way point. I had thought she maybe thought we wanted to split a drink, but that was alas not the case. The waiter we had really was trying hard to sell us on any bottle of wine over $70. WOuldn't recommend anything less expensive. We thanked him for the sugestions and ordered a couple of moderate and good wines by the glass. The Duck was magnificent. The Pompano special was good - nothing special though the waiter acted as though it was something miraculous. Excellent salads. Would go back, but would skip the rip-off bar.
Pros: stingy bartender, expensive cocktails, pushy waiter
Cons: food, decor, well-meaning waiter
