Its nice to have a restaurant like Viognier located here in downtown San Mateo. The food is well prepared and imaginative, and the service is polite and professional. San Francisco is the closest place to get anything compareable and after a nice enjoyable meal, maybe a tasting menu with wine, I don't feel like driving. Plus it is located at Draeger's so you can pick up a neat cooking tool or something for the pantry. I always like to bring my out of town friends to impress them.
