Cracker barrel is a chain that is definably several notches up from fast food. Rustic farmhouse setting with rocking chairs on the porch and good rib sticking food - I have never gone away hungry. It may not be romantic, but the large fireplace hearth makes your feel at home on a cold blustery day. Country favorites will definitely get your day started, and the dinners will make you feel like mom made her Sunday best for the family dinner. There is a country store in the front with neat country Knick-Knacks and the kids love the ""old time toys"" and candy. Good value for the portions served.
Pros: Down home atmosphere - good country food - cozy like a warm blanket
Cons: Not very romantic, but the wife and I enjoy breakfast w/o the kids ;-)
