When I moved to Arlington, Virginia from Baltimore, Maryland, the first thing I did was find out where the nearest Michaels store was. After all I cannot live without my arts and crafts supply store. And, thankfully, there was one close by. Located in a big strip mall, Michaels is the place to go if you are into crafts, like me. This particular Michaels is not the cleanest store Ive been to, but it does the trick. Decent prices and plenty of project ideas to choose from, Michaels blows the competition away (like the Joanne Fabrics next door). The employees at this Michaels arent necessarily helpful or knowledgeable about arts and crafts, but they try a little.
