Technically, it is an addition to the Woodruff, but it is just outside the door of the new High. I took a date for dinner after four of us went to the Wyeth exhibit and we all thought the meal was great. The tapas bar is a cool place and you can sit outside on the plaza if it is a nice night. We had chicken on grits and hangar steak, both great. The couple with us had a selection of appetizers -- foie gras and squash soup and whatever the special was. My date and I skipped appetizers but all four of us ordered desserts, and I recommend them all -- we especially liked the fondue and the homemade donuts. I think everything about Table 1280 is a reflection of the new, whre-it-is-happening midtown, and a great addition to the restaurant scene. We'll be back!
Pros: appearance, desserts, tapas
