I called the Melting Pot to make reservations, but was told they were booked. I decided to stop by anyway to see if they was an opening. There were only two diners in the whole restaurant and they told us they did not have any openings for the next five hours. The couple in line before us was turned away too. I can't understand the marketing strategy behind turning away paying customers when the entire restaurant was empty. Maybe they are going for an exclusive, ""private club"" reputation. If so, they succeeded because I will exclude them from my dining list in the future.
