I grew up eating BBQ in Austin, Texas but now live in Boulder, Colorado.
I love Daddy Bruce's BBQ but always fondly recalled the great Texas BBQ of my youth.
I took my family to central Texas over Thanksgiving and we visited every BBQ joint we could.
Daddy Bruce's is better! Nobody can touch his ribs, the beef brisket has an intense smoky down home flavor, and his BBQ sauce is to die for. Pretty good coleslaw too.
On the other hand, while BBQ joints are supposed to be funky, Bruce takes things a little far. His chicken is only fair, beans bad and forget the bread.
Strictly take out.
Pros: Best ribs anywhere, Great BBQ sauce, Take Out
Cons: Limited menu, No beer!, Too funky
