Kashmir has good Indian food, but not terribly authentic. It is frequently hyped as the best Indian restaurant in Boston. Their take on Indian is very rich - lots of heavy cream and ghee (clarified butter).
The interior is really charming, and the location is ideal (smack in the middle of Newbury street). The service is very good, but the prices are on the expensive side for dishes that definitely don't live up to their billing as the "best" Indian in Boston.
