AirTran is the most pathetic airline company in the US. I was coming back to New York from Miami with AirTran, they closed the departure gate before the scheduled time and I had to pay $1000 to get another flight. They didn’t even make any announcement before closing the gate. There was nobody from AirTran available on the airport who could help me.
When I called the customer care the lady who responded was so rude. She raised her voice and said, Sir your ticket has been fortified and we can't help you. We close the gate early so out flight crew can get ready before the departure time.
Guys I beg you please DO NOT waste your hard earned money on this crappy airline company. I will never ever travel with AirTran again, even if they give me a free ticket.
