Jeff Gold couldn't magically make my DUI go away, but unlike many of the other thousand or so attorneys in LA, he never claimed to. Instead he did everything humanly possible to not only lessen the blow of this stupid situation I put myself in, but also to ensure it would never happen again. He seemed genuinely more interested in never getting my business again (because I'd never need it) than running up my bill.
