We stayed here for 5 nights with anothert couple. Our objective was to have a very relaxing, comfortable, stress free get away in the area, and the Sonoma Coast Villa met all those criteria and more. We were amazed at the "oasis" nature of the grounds in an otherwise rural Sonoma County countryside. Our rooms were spacious, very comfortable, and a real pleasure to return to each night, and our wives' spa experiences were great. Each morning, we were presented the most amazing array of breakfast options this side of many classic European inns where we have stayed. The inkeeper, Johannes, is Austrian by birth, and has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry. He is a very "hands on" inkeeper, and obviously cares very much about his business. We had him arrange wine tours, suggest area itineraries, and book spa services. We found him extremely accomodating, and everything was quite well handled. He was also a most capable chef for our lovely meals on the 4 nights we had dinner at the Inn. We read some of the negative comments about this property before deciding to stay here, and I can honestly say I cannot understand where they are coming from. I'm sure it is possible to have a bad experience anywhere, but our impressions were nothing but positive. The next time we are in this part of the country, we will definitely stay here again. Our friends agree.
