I have been going to Ibi salon for 3 years now and every time I am more and more amazed!!! I was just in this past weekend for my normal cut, color and highlights, Ibi suggested the Brazilian Keratin treatment to get my hair shiny and minus the frizz...so since she has never steered me in the wrong direction!\r \r My hair is so soft straight and unbelievable...This is the best way to deal with that broken, straw like hair. Ibi is awesome!!! I have thick hair that's neither straight nor curly. I've always wanted a short hair cut that's EASY to manage. When I say EASY, I mean just blow-drying with my fingers. No straightening iron, no hair products. Nobody has ever been able to give me a short hair cut that's EASY to manage....it always ends up flipping out at the ends in weird directions.\r \r But IBI did it!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my bob. I love my day at the salon and no one does it like Salon 58. From manicures and pedicures to hair and skin treatments, they really know their stuff. My experience as a former color analyst makes me qualified to evaluate their services and my hair has never looked better. I reccommend spending the afternoon with hair and skin treatments and would suggest any of the facials they offer. I spend much of my time outdoors and it's always a challenge to find someone who understands the effects of the sun on hair and skin. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and I trust them to take good care of me once a month. more

I walk in the door for the first time and I am handed a glass of wine. I sit down and meet Ibi...it was like she'd known me my whole life. Before we even talked about my hair, she asked about me...how I was doing, what my story was. I felt like I was sharing a glass of wine with an old friend. So then we talk shop. Immediately she knew what to do. She diagnosed the issues and got to work. I walked out feeling like the most beautiful girl in the world! While my hair was processing...she went out and fed the meter more money for me!!!!!! Amazing! 2nd glass of wine and a blowdry. Perfect perfect new hair. And get this...three days later she calls to check in on my to make sure that all went well the first time I styled on my own. I love her. I love it there. Her people are great, her shop is adorable and clean. \r \r Here's the thing - I live in Connecticut. No one - no one will ever touch my hair again. I absolutely loved my visit to Salon58. I got lost (By the way, if you are going to use a GPS to get you there, don't put in washington street. Just put the intersection of orange and washington and it will be right in front of you) and called the salon right when I was supposed to be there to say I might not make it. I thought the salon was going to tell me to forget coming in, that's probably what my salon at home would have done. But Lbi was bright and cheerful and stayed on the phone with me for several minutes to figure out where I was and to tell me how to get there. The parking was no problem. Literally right across the street and I only put in a few cents for the meters. I only had to walk about 100 yards to the salon. Once I got there Lbi never mentioned that I was late and she did not act stressed about time at all. She was relaxed, talked to me like an old friend, and gave me an even better haircut than I expected. She spent quality time on my hair and did a wonderful job. I literally felt like she gave my hair a breath of fresh air. It looks so much better. As soon as I got home, my roommates immediately noticed and asked where I went so they could go there too. I was sad to leave my old salon at home but now I will be sad to leave Salon58 when it is time to return home. I highly recommend it to everyone. Pros: Great hair cut! more

I'm not an expert spa hopper. As a matter of fact, I have only been to a few others in the Central Florida region. However, it doesn't take much skill to recognize the value of such excellent service and overall warm cadence and demeanor in the staff of Salon 58.\r I popped in for a Friday facial appointment with Jasmine and found to my surprise the expertise and comfort of a professional facialist. During my one hour ""Gentlemen's Facial"", she kept me informed with as much detail as I inquired about chemicals, procedures, brands, external references, and personal care. For those who wish to lift the mystery veil out of maintaining healthy skin, she's your gal. What became more of a surprise was how well she managed my combination skin even while conversing with me. Of all facialist I had previously encountered (and not retired) she is by far the best and most confident in the area. \r For those who are used to an European blend of personal service, Salon 58 excels in it. While waiting for a complimentary haircut touch up, I saw Ibi (manager?) demonstrate knowledge of her clients' style preferences and excitement about suggesting new haircuts that is rarely seen in Orlando for the price. Not to mention, her conversational rapport, complementary Italian candy, and beverages (I overheard someone receiving wine, I asked for water) make the appointment worth it =) This one is a keeper and I would recommend it to anyone in need of redefining their style or touching up their image. I've only been coming to the shop for approximately 3 months. Another salon over processed my hair and it is very dry and damaged - to the point where the hair is breaking. A friend recommended I try Salon 58. They have been very caring and helpful in treating my damaged hair. They are wonderful. more

Been here a couple times now and it is my regular place to get my hair cut. Ibi knows how to cut my hair and shes extremely nice and knows exactly how i like my hair. Everyone else is friendly as well and its good experience. Took me a while to find a good place to go when I moved here, but I finally found a place I can go regularly to get the haircut I want. more

I was thrilled! After living in Europe the past 10 years, I could not find a great hair stylist here in Orlando that compared to what I was used to. My hair looked horrible. Upon receiving a spafinder gift certificate for Christmas, I made an appt with Ibi, the owner. We spoke at length on the phone and I learned she is European born and trained. The salon visit was wonderful!!! The clients before me were excited to see their styles. The attention, the quality, the effort, and the knowledge by Ibi and Laura (her daughter) were better than any other salon I have visited in Orlando. They really know their stuff. Ibi repaired my damaged hair. I also saw others getting nails done who were just as pleased. I will highly recommend to others and I am definitely a repeat customer! This is the best place to get your hair done! I have moved all over Florida and always come back to Salon 58. It is a very friendly atmosphere and very personable. They are excellent at helping you choose the right colors and cuts for your hair. They all have the latest products and know the latest styles. They are very accommedating of my time and schedule and always squeeze me in! I have never left here without amazing hair, looking great, and feeling great! Let me start off by admitting that I am rarely satisfied with my hair. It is not straight, not curly, frizzy and dry from a previous highlight (ie. BLEACH). I am willing to pay for any service as long as it is done right. As you know, if someone messes up your hair, it is something you will have to live with for a while. I have been looking for someone to start over with-to make a plan to get my hair to be finally the way I want it. I have been looking at every possible ""Best of"". Orlando Sentinel, City Search, Orlando Magazine, and Orlando Weekly. I decided to give this salon a try. I am nowhere near downtown, but as I said, if its done right, I am willing to sacrifice. I made my appointment online, which I liked, and planned to go in on Saturday morning.\r I don't know the downtown area very well, so I mapquested the area and got directions. Unfortunately, many of the roads were blocked off for a Veterans Day parade, so I had to call the salon twice to get help with directions. I was worried that they would be upset-I imagine someone's whole schedule can get messed up if someone is late-but Ibi answered the phone and was patient, kind, and helpful. I found the salon and was 20 minutes late, but she was still so nice. I sat down, was offered a drink, and then she asked me what I was looking for. Here is the best part-she let me talk! I explained what was going on, what I liked, what I didn't, and never once was I interrupted. She gave me three possible solutions, and she got to work. I had a deep conditioning treatment and was under the dryer with a magazine for 20 minutes. I was shampooed, conditioned and styled. What I noticed about Ibi is that she really took her time-she cut my hair wet and also dry-she straightened the hair in small sections. I was really pleased with the results. I have a cool cut with side-swept bangs and I have a plan on what I need to do to get my hair back into shape. Please go to see Ibi-you will not be disapointed!! I can't say enough good things about Salon 58 and Ibi, its owner. I've been going there for five years, and soon thereafter my wife and daughter, now 19, became regulars, It's is a comfortable place, cool and hip for many and comfortable and fun for everyone. Ibi, a native of Hungarian who owns the place, is gracious and fun -- and a good-looking woman. Her occasionally fractured English contributes to the charm and at-ease ambience. But let's talk about hair. If you're a guy who wants to look stylish without the trappings of a frou-frou salon, it's not easy to find that kind of place. And I learned long ago never to go near one of these chain clip-places in strip mall; there's never a consistency, That's one reason why I love Ibi, After 20 years in Orlando, I grew tired of people at salons or barbershops who would ask what sort of look I wanted -- as if they were capable of pulling it off anyway. First time I was with Ibi, I trusted her when she crinkled her nose and said in that Hungarian accent, ""We're going to make you even more handsome."" And for the first time since college, I got a haircut that I felt really great about -- not too short, not too long, shaped and tapered just right, professional for some guy in his 40s but not old-school either. People I know, even buddies who aren't attuned to haircuts, commented, And heck, for three years, I even got blond highlights and my wife was digging her advancing-into-his-40s guy, Oh, yeah, you don't have to be a metrosexual -- if that stereotypical term still has any relevance -- to appreciate a pedicure and making a wife or girlfriend take notice about a guy's feet don't have to have talons, Salon 58 is the place. Salon 58 is one of your Best Salons in Orlando. Ibi is the only person who I will have cut and highlight my hair. In fact I drive in from Oviedo to see her. Her style is always current and up to date. She makes me look like a million bucks. The products she recommends are of the highest quality and add that final touch to my own styling at home. I've been going to Ibi at Salon 58 for about 5 years now, and she helped me repair my hair, which was very damaged due to home coloring. I would *never* think of coloring it at home again! I love my color now! And my hair is so much smoother and healthier. Ibi is an excellent colorist and superb hair cutter! I often change things up with my cut, and she is always helping me to refine the shape to suit my face. I love the relaxed atmosphere in the salon, the location, and the friendliness of all the stylists. I look forward to my time in this salon. :) more

I have been going to Salon 58 for five years now and have had nothing but great expierences. People are always complementing my hair and asking me where I have gotten it done. I have never had a more pleasent expierence with a salon because they are always listening to exactly what I want and are willing to work with me, as I can be pretty picky. Please do not be fooled by all of the positive reviews, as I truly believe they write most of them for themselves. I am always hesitant to try a new salon, but I did so because all of the praise they received - specifically on this website. My stylist was Laura. To start, she was late. From the first interaction I had with her, my gut reaction was to just run out and apologize for the inconvenience - but I didn't - huge mistake. The entire experience was annoying and lasted way too long. She kept telling me she was taking her time to do it right, but I felt she was just moving slow and talking too much to the other employees. There was more than one time where she dropped hair bleach on the floor and I had to move my legs so it wouldn't land on my pants. She didn't listen to my wishes about coloring my hair and it turned out exactly as I expected - dull and way too dark. She also didn't pay attention to the density of my hair and my cut request. She used thinning shears, which I hate, and I didn't notice until it was too late. My hair is thin enough without making it more so! There is really nothing they could do to fix it, except replace my missing hair. And besides, I don?t want to sit through that mess again. On a side note, they refer to citysearch way too much in the salon? There was a shady conversation I overheard that lead me to believe they write their own reviews. That is only my opinion? I just moved to Orlando and was apprehensive about trying a new salon. Walking into Salon 58, my fears were put to rest. The staff is professional yet makes you feel like a member of the family. I wanted to take my dark brown hair to blond - no easy task. The store owner, Iby, was able to take me to the perfect shade of transitional brown without damaging a hair on my head! I will be back in a few weeks with no doubt that she will get me to the perfect blond without any damage. I was so happy, I gave her a high five and a hug before leaving!\r While my color processed, I was treated to a decadent chocolate pedicure with Saudi. She is a miracle worker! She painted my toes the perfect French while I melted into a top of the line massaging chair and munched on cashews and almonds. I met the facialist and masseuse and can't wait to use their services very soon.\r This Spa is absolutely wonderful. Warm, inviting, and service to die for. I would recommend it to anyone. I came to Florida for a summer internship and in desperate need of help for my hair. Lets just say that a natural blonde should not dye their hair black if they do not intend to commit for an extended period of time. I came across Salon 58 thanks to a suggestion from one of my coworkers and can honestly say I was blown away! Ibi was my stylist (and is also the owner) and she did the most amazing job on my hair! Not only did she remove the black, but she took it back to a natural color with an amazing cut! In addition to incredible hair, she made me feel at home =) I have tried a number of salons back home on the west coast and I have never had such an great experience before. Now I will be visting Florida just to see Ibi! I love Salon 58 and would recommend it to anyone! more

I have been living ion Orlando for 5 years and have traveled back to New England to get my hair done for the last 4. I decided it was time to find a local stylist. I called Salon 58 and set an appointment. Being very nervous to try someone new, I got the courage and walked in. As soon as I met Ibi and knew it was going to be a great experience. Low and behold, it was the best cut, color and style I have ever had! I received more compliments that evening on my new hair than I can ever remember!
