Best Workout Ever! 12/29/2010

Xgym is a wicked place to workout- no whining, wimps or complaining allowed. This place is for people who are serious about making a change and willing to endure some of the most challenging workouts of their life. If you aren’t willing to put in the effort and scream a little, don’t bother wasting your time.\r \r It’s super encouraging having someone that drives you to want to work harder and actually make progress with your body. Give it a couple of weeks and you WILL see changes in your body that you thought were impossible- and that would have taken months at a regular gym.\r \r I started at the Kirkland location telling myself I would give it 5 months- yeah right- I am addicted! The mentally challenging thing about the trainers is their honesty. Honesty, if you think about it, is exactly what has stopped us all from making progress with our workouts in the past! Why pay to lie to someone when you can do that everywhere else free? The point is they tell you when you are being an idiot with your diet and hold you accountable. \r \r This place is worth 30 minutes twice a week. \r more

There is a lot of pain in this dojo (but it is worth it!) 3/5/2010

I have never been able to maintain a steady workout routine until I signed up for the X Gym. It is the total package (fitness, nutrition, and motivation). I don't miss my appointments and I look forward to the 20 minutes. After the sessions you will feel like the karate kid when Mr. Miyagi made him wax all those cars. But it is ONLY 20 min, which is great because I don't prefer prolonged agony. If this gym had a song it would be ""Your'e The Best"" by Joe Esposito. Pros: Endorphins Cons: Sometimes I don't know my own strength anymore. more

X Gym is as good as it gets for personal training. Get in, get your butt kicked and get out in 20min, twice a week. Who has time to go to the gym everyday for an hour anyway?\r \r Oh yeah, and get results. Booyah. The best personal training I've ever found! 3/2/2010

The X Gym is a great place to workout. I've tried other personal trainers, but none give me as much as advice on nutrition, cardio, and weights as the X Gym does. The workouts are amazingly hard, but EFFECTIVE! It really is a very unique experience, so going and trying it is the best way to evaluate it. You get (at least, depending on different promotions) one free workout, so go try it out... it's awesome! Pros: Time-efficient, cost-effective for training, fun people! Cons: No complaints... more

X Gym trainers are a team working behind you. They work with you and use their methods to help you build productive lean muscle, which will make your body burn off pounds and pounds of fat, increase your endurance, make you feel and yes even look better. Members of the X Gym also get access to an online food journaling program as well as expert nutritional advice. If you have decided to take the step of hiring a personal trainer, the X Gym is going to provide the absolute best in results, customer service and fitness knowledge, at a far lower price than any trainer at any commercial gym. Great trainers with a thorough knowledge of exercise and nutrition. There's an emphasis on ""brain-training"" that actually allows you to change your attitudes and stay in shape for life. I'm 52 years old and I feel and look 10 years younger. I feel like I've ""reverse-aged"" since joining Xgym 16 months ago. Pros: Two 20 minute workouts per week + cardio Cons: Hardest workout EVER...good it's only 20 minutes more

I use to go to the X-Gym in downtown Belltown. I go to the one in Alki and the one in Kirkland depending on my schedule.\r \r At first I was skeptical about this new 20 minutes twice a week, get in shape.\r \r Hey...it works! it REALLY works! I challenge any fitness trainer to go up against P.J. Glassey - the guy knows his stuff and his stuff is not only physical but mental too!
