We booked the Ambassador Hotel directly with the hotel only a few days before our visit. The reservationist was very helpful and courteous. We quizzed her on things to do and places to dine while we were passing thru town. Although we didn't take all of her suggestions as we just didn't have the time, we did appreciate the time she took to make us feel welcome. Upon check in we decided to upgrade to the Concierge level, which was a great treat. We had a nice lounge area to relax and visit in, which was a nice perk so too speak. My husband and I did have to do a little work and it was nice that we could go on line and work in a nice comfortable environment. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast upstairs but instead we enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the main hotel restaurant. The service was good, food was well prepared and the offerings were plentiful. Next time we'll plan to stay longer as there really is a lot of things to do in Amarillo!
