Classic bait and switch operation. They quote one price over the phone and then charge you more once you pick up the pets. When I questioned their policy, they stated they have been in business for 20 years and they would not return the difference they quoted.\r \r If your money is important to you, find a more reputable place to take your pets. more

This is just a terrific kennel for dogs. They are very knowledgeable about the dogs care and make sure they are comfortable. My dog's tail wags enthusiastically when he sees the facility. That says something! Highly recommended. more

Agreed, this is a fine boarding place indeed. We call it going to "camp". My dog gets excited when we tell him he is going, he is given back to us fed, happy and clean. No ill effects whatsoever. Thank you! more

We have boarded our standard longhaired dachshund at Woodbine since she was a puppy. Now 6.5 years old. Our fifth dog.\r This is the finest kennel we have ever used. She is always happy and healthy when we pick her up. She is bathed and ready when we get there and the exercise and socializing she experiences while there keeps her fit and stable.\r We bring her food in mealtime packets that include any meds. They have never passed judgment on what we give her, either the brand or quantity.\r Great staff and a clean, dry healthy facility. more

We have used Woodbine Hill Kennel for over 15 years with outstanding service. They have awesome exercise areas. The inside portions are environmentally controlled and kept very clean. They also have acoustic panels to keep it quieter, which is better for all the animals. These people love dogs more than any other kennel I've been to in the last 30 years (probably the reason why they care about what is being fed to them). Like many others, I choose my own food from a warehouse store, however I will say that Woodbine must know something after you consider the fact that the many brands that were recalled in the last few years (mine from PetCo, I was feeding with $40/30pounds of Royal Canin at the time). I started taking my most recent dog there as a puppy and over the years, everyone knows him. He is 105-pound hound/dane mix and looks forward to going because of all the extra exercise he gets! This is by far the best boarding facility! We've used them several times for our two Golden Retrievers. The staff is very friendly & caring. The kennels are very clean & well kept. When we pick up our dogs, they are not stressed from being there. It's a great feeling to leave our dogs in a place where they are loved! more

My dog loves it here - and because it's close to home, clean, and the staff is so professional, I continue to use them. \r \r Like the other reviewer, I have had some run-ins with a otherwise perfectly nice staff member who routinely lectures me on the food I choose to feed my dog. Mind you, now I've learned to either avoid her entirely or simply not "go there" when she asks me what kind of food it is. Last time she spent 20 minutes "educating me" on the food I'd brought - which my dog is on for health reasons, at the suggestion of my highly qualified vet - and I left feeling insulted and deflated. It's one thing to advocate a certain food/type of food WHEN THAT INFORMATION IS REQUESTED (hint hint) but it's another thing entirely to accost your clientele with unsolicited (and unwelcome) advice.\r \r Frankly, it's the other staff members (and the great facility) that keep me coming back. We have 3 large dogs, we have always had numerous dogs, and have required boarding for them several times a year. Woodbine is the most reasonably priced, quitest and cleanest, we have come across. We have done everything from the Very Pricey, ala-carte pet hotels, to the bare bones. At Woodbine, you can bring your own beds, toys, treats and food. They're set up so the dogs do not have to be leashed for playtime, or potty time. The facility is clean, VERY CLEAN. If you choose they will even (for a modest fee) take your dog swimming! They do not accept credit cards, which can be a problem for some, but it does keep their costs down. If you want your dog to watch television all day, or sleep in a "people" bed, this is not your place, if you want to take your four legged family member to a safe, clean, friendly place, You need to check these folks out! more

We were in the process of going on vacation. Because we were new in the area we got several names of kennels for boarding our dogs.. We visited Woodbine and the women that we talked to was extreamly rude. When she asked what we fed our dog, she told us we were feeding him "road kill". She insisted we buy the food they sell at the kennel. She continued to read the entire back of the dog food package talking to us as if we were idiots.. I told her our Vet knows what this dog is fed and said it was fine.. She said that's becuase the Vet is making money from the dog food we buy..I said how can that be, we buy his food at Pet Smart.. She then went into a tangine on the horrible food Pet Smart sells.. After her berating us over and over, we left.. Yeah, I know we should have left sonner, but it was almost impossible to get aways from her without be rude..There were a lot more things she said to us, but I will not go on. SO, needless to say our experence with Woodbine was HORRIBLE.. Word of m more

I have never boarded a dog in my life and found myself needed to do so A friend told us about Woodbine, she takes her dogs there too and decided to give them a try. I took my 5 month old puppy that is "scared of life" in for a quick visit to see how she would react and to my surprise she was rather calm and seemed content. Which made me feel at ease when we took her before our trip. We were gone for 6 days and when we returned she was happy to see us but after greeting us she ran back to say goodbye to her friends the workers!! Good experience all around will be taking her again this weekend! Hope for the same reaction. more

I have used 5 different kennels, and my dog seems to like this one the best. The people working there seem to really like animals, too. They had no problem with showing me the holding area, which was no-frills but clean and cared for. You can bring your own food and treats or they will feed your dog. I had to switch my dog's food to Bil-Jac because she liked it so much. She refused to eat what I was feeding her before her stay, and she never had problems with it before. I do know that Bil-Jac is very nutritious, and not at all inexpensive. I wish we still lived close to the kennel so we could use them again. more

We started taking my 2 large breed dogs to Woodbine 4 yrs ago. They are very professional and caring and the kennel is immaculate! My dogs can be a hand full but the staff at Woodbine understand the breed and their challenges. They are always treated kindly. My dogs literally RUN thru the doors at Woodbine because they like going there. Woodbine fills up fast during vacation and holiday time and I believe its because others feel its the best kennel in the area. My vet even raved about Woodbine. more
