Bad experience, uninformed salesperson, poor communication, poor installation, poor service. Bought an expensive door/sidelight combo. Product came late, problem with finish, problem with installation, had to get manufacturer and distributor involved before this dealer would help solve the problem. Avoid, better service, and prices elsewhere more

I felt that I was taken care of when working with Windows Doors & More. My sales person helped me to choose just the right windows for my home and stayed with me during my entire purchase and installation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new windows or doors and will return to them for all of my future needs. I concur with the reviews above. It took over five months to receive my windows, and when I finally got them, the order was wrong, so I had to wait another month and a half to get all of my windows installed. I will say the first crew that installed my windows was excellent, and I was told the the same crew would be finishing the job...which of course did not happen. Talk is cheap. Be sure to clarify when you can expect your orders to arrive at your home. \r \r You will be given a 'lead time' to anticipate your windows or doors, but this tells you when the items are anticipated to leave the factory for Windows, Doors and More's warehouse at which point you will get a call. You can add a week or even two weeks on to that 'lead time' date. \r \r There's no reason that a sales person should consider 'lead time' of any interest to a customer, so be sure to check delivery date to YOU. \r \r Also, I've since learned that it's not unusual for windows to be ready before doors. Seattle,\r \r Save yourself the stress and a loooot of wasted time and buy doors somewhere else.\r \r All I wanted was french doors in my house for summer. We all know summers are short and sweet around here so this was to be my late spring/early summer project. I was promised my doors in 2 weeks. Well two weeks came and so did the wrong doors.\r \r After repeated calls, to the sales guy, the sales manager and even a message for the owner who never returned my call. I am still without my correct doors 5 weeks later. \r \r This company is great until they get your money. Then they say ""your stuck"" because it was a special order and there's not a lot you can do. If anything goes wrong with your order they are brutal to work with. They claim they will make it right, but three weeks later, I have a hole in my house and no doors to fill it. I wish I could go back in time and never have dealt with this company.\r \r Read the reviews here. So, I started out looking at windows, and I had contacted several other stores. I am not very versed in the world of construction and honestly have NO idea what most of the terms mean. All I know is the home I purchased needed serious help. The windows were very very old, but I loved the look of them. I had an awful time trying to find what I wanted. I walked in to WDM and my sales person helped me to pick out the windows that would best fit my home. \r The time between ordering and install was about 9 weeks, but I understand I had custom windows and someone has to build them. I was informed every step of the way and was very happy with the staff. I was able to speak with anyone from the manager, and even the receptionist was able to help me with my questions. \r I would recommend this company, and if you saw the beautiful work they did on my home, you would understand why. My windows look wonderful, my front door turned out to be the thing this home needed to bring it back to it's glory. Please when reading these think about your favorite resterant, some people wont' like it, but you love it. That's how I feel about this company. \r I love the job they did, and I love the fact that they assisted me though everything, and left my home looking wonderful. I must admit I disagree with all the other reviews. I had a wonderful experiance, the sales person was clean and friendly and gave me a great price, and held my hand though the entire experiance. I had no issues with the sales staff. I loved the communication with the staff, everyone I spoke with was friendly. The install manager came to my house several times, and checked on my project, and when it was completed, it turned out to be beautiful. I'm so glad, that I went with this company. I am sad that people are only writing bad reviews about them. I would recommend them to anyone, any time. \r more

We wish we had read reviews on this company. We purchased Windows and a door in August 2006, when install came in December, All windows and door were the wrong size (their fault)- Windows finally got installed in January (door was still wrong- again) to find out one window was tinted incorrectly (they're 10 x 5 windows)- so it looks ridiculous from the exterior. Not to mention, the guys left early on the last day and left all the patchwork undone. We had to hire someone to finish so our painting contractor could come in as scheduled.\r The Door was re-scheduled for install in Feb 2007, but came hung in the jam incorrectly- I called and e-mailed service and have gotten no response. We also were very unhappy with this company - it's all about sales and little about service. I agree with the previous writer about their disregard for our home and property. Sold us windows that were to be painted white, received them primed in dark grey - their mistake, not ours or our architect. It took 3 heavy coats to cover the grey and they refused to help with the extra cost of that. Also, they drilled through their own drain for installation, causing future leaks and again refused to be helpful. One of the most important things we do for our homes is new windows and doors - don't make the mistake of buying them at this facility. Top dollar does not equal top service. I had a similar experience as the other reviewer. They are more concerned with their sales figures and collecting payment than customer service. Tried getting them to come back out to fix a window for weeks with no response. If you do use them hold back on the final payment until you are completely satisfied with the product and installation because once they leave your house, you won't see them again. They also broke a small ceramic vase and just tucked it aside and didn't mention it to me. I came across it as I was cleaning up the mess from installation. Pros: You'll get all the attention you need during the sales process. Cons: Rough & messy installation. No customer service after installation. more

I do not recommend this company to others. It took 5 1/2 months for my two exterior doors to be ordered and installed without problem--however I was required to pay 1/2 up front and was constantly badgered to pay without service completion. I had been told I would have my doors installed in early to mid-September and instead it was late October because they never put me on the installation schedule. My doors sat for 6 weeks in their warehouse even though I had paid thousands of dollars in advance and months had already passed. The workers did not use tarps on my deck and scratched and marred them, my white carpet got red paint on it due to the tarp having been used the week before at a construction site. Another room with hardwoods was not protected. The trim/finish work was not completed and we had to do it ourselves. A built-in screen they installed had a problem and was not replaced for two months. The guy who did the install came back to repair the screen two months later and actually said that he was surprised it took so long for us to get the situation corrected! (Good grief.) I tried to get help from the salesperson over the many months and he gave explanations like ""we do our best"" and ""these things happen in the custom remodel business"" like I had no awareness and should accept the situation. When I wrote the owner a timeline stating the factual account of all the problems I had and all the work I missed for repeated visits without results, he basically did nothing about it but politely tell me to contact the service department for another appointment. We have had three old Seattle houses (one was 100 years old) and done a lot of remodeling. I can honestly say I have never spent that much money and experienced such careless disregard for the customer. more
