I had a tremendous pain caused by a crown that was not fitting correctly. Dr. Wilmore saw me after normal dental hours and provided me with timely and effective relief when my dentist could not. Dr. Wilmore is not only a terrific dentist but she was there to help me when no one else could be found, not even my own dentist of the past 10 years! You can bet that I am switching my dental work to Dr. Wilmore. Thank you doctor for some fine work that corrected my crown and relieved my pain. I would certainly recommend Dr. Wilmore to anyone looking for a high quality, caring, & professional dentist who rendered painless corrective care at a time when it was really needed! Dr. Wilmore was friendly, attentive, and professional. She put in my filling quickly and on the same day I came in for my first exam - no rescheduling necessary. Her staff are also very friendly and helpful; her secretary offered to check my dental coverage through multiple insurance plans. Also, they were up-front about what procedures would be done and all costs I was going to incur - there was no doing the work first and then handing over the bill later. This was my first visit to the dentist in about 7 years. Needless to say I was extremely anxious and embarrassed of how bad I had let my teeth deteriorate. I had heard about Dr. Wilmore from a friend and decided to finally face my fears and make an appointment. FIrst of all, I must say I'm not one to write reviews, especially about the dentist! So I'll make this short and to the point. Dr. Wilmore surpassed all my expectations and I was immediately relieved of all my fear and anxiety after meeting her and her wonderful staff! I was treated with such compassion, respect, and kindness from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left. The office is beautiful and the technology state-of-the-art. Dr. wilmore is extremely gentle, warm, and very honest. I have never met a dentist that made me feel so at ease! She has a conservative approach to dentistry and does not try to push unnecessary treatment on you for the money. It is obvious she truly loves practicing dentistry, not making money! I found out she was fomerly an ICU nurse, which explains her gentle and caring chairside manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a quality dentist. I am yet another person who has had MANY bad experiences at dental offices. Dr. Wilmore and her staff put me right at ease! I hadn't had a cleaning in years, so this tells you how "bad" it could have been. Well, it wasn't!! Far from it. The cleaning was pain free! I had to get some fillings done later and that was pain free too!! Very professional, very clean/sanitary practices. Can't wait for the next cleaning!! During my childhood, I developed a healthy apprehension for dentists due to some awful and painful experiences. However, after a period of ill-advised dental neglect, I was recommended to Dr. Wilmore by a family friend. From our first meeting, her warm, gentle, and caring presence put my dental fears at ease. The moment I walked in the door I realized I was in a special place. Dr. Wilmore's staff is very professional, friendly, and accommodating and the office is clean, beautiful, and inviting. During my painless and comprehensive exam, she was extremely gentle, honest, and very informative about what she was doing and what I might feel. Dr. Wilmore also discussed her findings with me and also offered me an opportunity to ask any questions I may have. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed and all my treatment options were explained and discussed in great detail. They also reviewed my insurance benefits with me and even processed and filed my claims to make my life easier. This was simply an amazing, pain-free dental experience that I didn't know was possible. I truly feel like the folks here genuinely care about my teeth, my health, and my overall well-being. I don't think I could find a better practice if I tried. I feel so fortunate to have been referred to this office. Unfortunately I was recently informed that my family dentist of over 25 years was retiring and I was in desperate need of finding an equal replacement in the Memorial/Galleria area. A co-worker of mine had recently seen Dr. Wilmore and was convinced that she had truly found her dentist for life! Soon thereafter, I scheduled an appointment for an exam and cleaning that was routinely, long overdue. I can honestly say that I feel extremely blessed and grateful that I was referred to such an amazing, compassionate dentist! From the moment I walked into the door and spoke with Tatiana and Brandi, I knew I had come to the right place. First of all, her office is absolutely gorgeous and immaculate, to say the least! I have never seen an office that had such a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere without that typical dental office feel. I just wanted to hang out in the waiting area and listen to the fountain. Secondly, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wilmore! She is a true professional with a gentle touch unlike no other dentist I have experienced! She is not only extremely gifted and talented, but also very warm, friendly and funny! She made me feel at ease the moment I met her! She erased all my fear and anxiety and made me feel extremely comfortable. Dr. Wilmore was exceptionally gentle with my cleaning and asked me if I was feeling "ok" throughout the entire cleaning. She was also very honest about the condition of my teeth (something you don't get very often), and that was something I really appreciated. Alot of times in the past, my dentists would just perform a quick cleaning and then try to sell me unwanted, unnecessary treatment. I'm surprised because all of the glowing reviews about her are right on target. I've never been one to put a great deal of stock in internet reviews posted by anonymous people. Dr. Wilmore was very personable as was her entire staff. Her pricing is quite reasonable. The office was quite nice but not ostentatious. She does indeed do her own cleanings as some other reviews have noted. As one would expect, she was quite knowledgable about her work but she also took the time to fully explain what she was talking about. Also, there was no upselling of superfluous services that I hadn't asked for. All in all, I'm very pleased and have no qualms about rating her 5 stars. Pros: Basically everything. I especially loved the view out the window from the chair. Cons: None more

First of all, I would like to thank Dr. Wilmore for going above and beyond to help me over the holidays. I am in town this weekend from New York visiting my family for Thanksgiving. During our family dinner, a crown that I had recently had placed back home came off while I was eating. I immediately started calling dentists in the Memorial/Galleria area to see if I could somehow convince a local dentist that I needed help with my tooth. After a few unsuccessful calls and unbelievably rude responses to my requests, I got in touch with Dr. Wilmore. She was more than happy to help and quickly met me at her office an hour after we spoke on the phone. After examining the situation thoroughly, she re-cemented my crown without hesitation. She also noticed that the crown had not been adjusted correctly and informed me that's what had probably caused it to loosen over time. She quickly corrected the problem and I was on my way shortly. Also, the crown was much more comfortable than before. I didn't have my insurance information with me due to the fact that I am on vacation. Dr. Wilmore told me not to worry and that she didn't care about the money . She said she was just thankful that she could help me with my problem when no one else in the area would even consider. I have never met such a genuinely kind, caring, gentle dentist in my life, and believe me I have seen my fair share! I am so grateful to have met her. This was honestly the best experience I have ever had at a dental office! I would travel back to Houston in a heartbeat just to have her take care of my teeth. If you are accustomed to quality, luxury and comfort, then you will definitely appreciate the dental practice of Dr. Heather Wilmore. I am so relieved that I was recently referred to her by a family friend who also had a pleasant experience with her care. I have always been afraid and embarrassed of dental visits because of my bad teeth and bad experiences with dentists. Once meeting Dr. Wilmore, my relentless anxiety had disappeared and my overwhelming worries were gone! She has a gentle, calming, unparalleled chair-side manner that truly puts you at ease. She carefully and thoughtfully explained everything she was doing and described the feelings I would experience during my entire comprehensive exam. Subsequently, I never felt any discomfort whatsoever during her thorough assessment. I recently came to Dr. Wilmore after having BAD experiences with two dentists in the area whose sole purpose seemed to be how much money they could make off my misery! The last straw being two, back-to-back root canals for a pain that was STILL there after numerous visits. Meeting Dr. Wilmore was definitely a breath of fresh air! She LISTENED patiently and attentively to my history and did not judge the other dentists or myself. She did a painless, thorough, comprehensive examination and concluded that the pain I was still feeling was due to a crown that was made too high by the previous dentist and was never adjusted correctly. After some simple adjustments and fine tuning by Dr. Wilmore, my crown was perfected and the pain was gone! Simply amazing! She didn't even charge me for the quick fix! Her staff was wonderful and also very helpful and informative regarding my insurance benefits. Only con now is that Dr. Wilmore is in transition after starting her own practice and is not in the office every day, but with enough "traffic" from CitySearch and those of us out there singing her praises, she soon will be! She's sweet, gentle, patient, kind, soft-spoken, thorough, thoughtful and she genuinely wants the best for the patient -- even though it may be less money for her! I have been to several dentists over my lifetime, but Dr. Wilmore and her staff went way past my expectations. She was very personable and made me feel like a person and not just another set of teeth. She and her staff actually listened to my questions and concerns and put me at ease. Everything about my dental health was explained in a clear and polite way and I was given advice on how to improve my already good oral hygiene. Dr. Wilmore actually asked me what my goals were for my long term dental care instead of trying to sell me unnecessary treatment. Every other dentist I've seen in the past has told me what "they" wanted me to have done whether I wanted it or not. She was very honest and professional, and also extremely gentle and caring. I could go on forever, but Dr. Wilmore and her staff are a rare find in today's medical world. This is certainly not the usual sterile, cold medical office most have come to expect. My family and I recently relocated to Houston from California and were in search of a quality dentist that was on my insurance network. I was referred by a co-worker to Dr. Wilmore because a filling that another dentist had put in fell out and I was experiencing severe sensitivity with that tooth. Let me just start by saying I was truly impressed with my visit from beginning to end! Her office is simply amazing and her staff exceeded all my expectations. I have never felt so welcome and relaxed in a dental office. They consistently go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and all your questions are answered without hesitation. Not only did Dr. Wilmore easily fix my problem, but she also discovered a developing abscess under another cavity that hadn't even started hurting. Dentists usually have problems numbing me up for some reason, but Dr. Wilmore had no problem and I didn't even feel the injection! She thoroughly assessed my mouth and reviewed all my dental history and presented me with a treatment plan that I could understand and afford! The staff were also very attentive, informative and helpful with handling my insurance benefits, which has ALWAYS been a frustrating issue to me. My life and smile have improved dramatically as a result of her excellent work ethic and professional, caring attitude. She will never try to sell you on procedures or services you simply do not need. It only took a few minutes for me to realize that Dr. Wilmore would be my dentist for life. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment I knew I was in good hands. She is sweet, caring, personable, and has the most up to date technology available. More importantly, she knows exactly what she is doing and I am confident I am in good hands. I trust in her completely! It is obvious that she truly cares about her patients health and well-being, not about making money! I also found out she was an ICU nurse before, which truly shows with her gentle touch and genuinely caring personality. I can't say enough good things about her! I usually dread going to the dentist, however my first visit to Dr. Wilmore entirely changed my views. The staff is welcoming and courteous, as you are pleasantly greeted upon arriving at their beautiful new office. They are also very efficient and accomodating, and I didn't have to wait at all for anything. Whether it's an explanation regarding my insurance benefits or trying to accomodate my visits into my busy work schedule, the staff is extremely helpful and understanding. Dr. Wilmore is the greatest dentist! She is extremely knowlegeable regarding oral health and you can tell that she loves what she does. She takes the time to ensure that you are comfortable and that you understand that the prevention of oral disease is extremely important. I learned so much from her that no other dentist has ever taken the time to tell me. Dr. Wilmore is more than just a wonderful dentist, she is an excellent teacher and educator. This was definitely the best experience I've ever had at a dentist, period! I, like most people, absolutely hate going to the dentist. I have had too many horrible experiences with dentists in the past. As soon as I walked into the door of her office, I knew I had found the perfect dentist. WOW! The office is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and feels like a 5-star hotel or spa! I have never seen a dental or medical office quite like it! I didn't realize I was in a dental office until I actually sat in the dental chair. Once meeting Dr. Wilmore, she totally changed my negative outlook on dentists and truly put me at ease! She has such a friendly, honest, and caring demeanor and is extremely thorough and informative of any procedure she is performing. She thoroughly discusses all your options, along with her opinions of what's best for your situation, and ensures that you understand what is the best treatment option for you before proceeding any further. Dr. Wilmore also constantly makes sure you are comfortable and pain free during your entire experience. She is extremely knowledgable and professional and treats you with such respect and kindness and she truly LISTENS to you and takes your thoughts and needs into consideration. Her attention to detail and perfectionism is unmatched. Before my treatment began, Dr. Wilmore showed me my digital X-rays on the high-tech flat screen monitor mounted above the chair so I knew exactly what the problem I was experiencing was. During my PAINLESS extraction and root canal I watched a video of the Virgin Islands that made me so relaxed I truly felt I was on a tropical vacation! Not to mention the beautiful view from the 9th floor windows overlooking the Memorial area. I seriously didn't want to leave the dental chair! I forgot I was at the dentist. I never thought that I would actually enjoy going to a dentist! Dr. Wilmore and her staff are amazing and you are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience whether it's a routine cleaning or procedure. One of the many wonderful aspects of her care is that she is VERY conscientious about the patient's pain or level of anxiety. I had a root canal done a few weeks ago and the first thing that came to my mind after it was all done was "That's it!?!" I had heard horror stories from friends of mine about their experiences with root canals, but mine was a walk in the park. She even places a topical solution on your gums so you don't even feel the lidocaine injections. Through the whole procedure she kept asking how I was doing and if I was feeling anything. And to keep my mind off of what was going on, you get to watch a slideshow of these amazing pictures of Hawaii that her husband took....which really helped take your mind off of what was going on!
