We had a plugged drain and called Whipple. Joe Crowley was the technician who they sent to do the job. It was a very difficult task and Joe took getting our drain open very personally and would not quit until he had accomplished the mission. I can't praise him enough and he should be commended as an excellent representative for his company. EXCELLENT JOB more

My water heater went out over the weekend so I called Whipple mostly due to their ads they quoted me 1800.00 for a new water heater and my mouth dropped open they claim its so high because the water heater is built in the USA and they have a 10 year warranty. I then called around got Lowe's on the phone got me a built in the USA water heater for 403.00 and it installed for 239.00 and a extended warranty parts and labor for 50.00 for total price of 692.00. Whipple wanted 1800.00 I can honestly say I will never have them do work for me due to their extremely over priced service. more

I am an extremely dissatisfied customer.\r \r I was never informed that a confirmation call was going to come the day/morning of the appointment (which I set three weeks ago). I assumed that one might come the day (or several days before). I was left voicemails at 14 minutes before (9:46 AM) our appointment and 19 minutes into (10:19 AM) our appointment. I was unavailable to speak on the phone at either of those times. I did not receive the voicemails until 11:55 AM, then immediately called your offices, who told me that my appointment had been cancelled and attempted twice to correct me about what had happened when I called originally to set the appointment, saying that I was told that a confirmation call would come 30-40 minutes before the appointment (which did NOT happen).\r \r This is absolutely terrible customer service. No email confirmation the week (or even the day) before. Correcting a customer on what happened (even when the correction wasn't what happened, either!). Cancelling an appointment on a new customer who is unfamiliar with your procedures and simply needs a heater checked.\r \r I will be sure to post this in other places online to make sure that other customers do not have my bad experience. I expected ""champion"" service as promised by your multiple advertisements, and did not receive it. more

Unfortunately I got sucked into Whipple's scare tactics on repairs for my A/C and furnace and purchased a Club Membership. I wasted hundreds of dollars on unnecessary repairs and membership. I finally got a second opinion from an independent HVAC company after Whipple had me sign a waiver that I should not use my furnace until they sent out a field manager for a second opinion. My furnace is just fine, and I would never recommend Whipple to anyone. more

5 thumbs DOWN!!!!\r Warning!!!!!\r I got Whipplized. Yikes! I wanted my furnace serviced for $49. like they advertised. The service tech came by, and said the furnace needed repairing and it would be about $800. He said it was a two speed blower motor, and a sensor module. He said with that price, we should get a new furnace! I asked him to email me a quotation, he said he would, and never got a quote. He then charged me $79.00 for the $49.00 special. I then chose a smaller service company (one without all the fancy advertising), they came by, said it was a small exhaust fan, which he replaced for a fourth of the Whipple quote. He said it was a great furnace, and should last another 20 years! more

I needed some help with my kitchen plumbing and wasn’t thrilled with the last company that made a service call. So I reviewed the web to read user reviews, and Whipple Service Champions definitely stood out. So I made an appointment. The person I talked with was very courteous and professional and I was very pleased with how soon I received an appointment. As promised, the service specialist, Mike L. showed up at my home right on time. I was impressed that Whipple has their service specialist use shoe covers…very nice touch! Mike quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a price for the work to be done which was very fair. Mike then went to work and carefully completed all the work. He then tested everything, cleaned up, and removed the old parts. I also learned about their Diamond Club Membership that offers some great benefits. Be sure to check it out as it is well worth the minimal fee. Would I refer family or friends to Whipple? Absolutely without any hesitation! more

I woke up today to find my basement flooded from the main line backing up from the road. When Patch arrived he was very helpful & knowledgable about my particular disaster. He even got another company out here right away to clean up the water and sewage. As terrible as the situation was I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. more

came home from work to find my bathroom shower was running and would not shut off,my kids deny touching it. in the past I had noticed my neighbor to have had a Whipple service van at his house and had noticed Whipple on his shirt so I ran down to see if he could help. He quickly dropped what he was doing and came up a look at the problem,. he shut off my water and removed part of the shower knob pulled out a part, cleaned it and reinstalled it plus he did the same to the other knob. wala works great and this was on his time and no charge. He also changed 2 broken sprinkler heads and programed my sprinkler system.I have had several sprinkler repair people out and with my old system they never could get it right, he got it first try. he wouldnt accept payment so I gave him a bag of peanuts. lol\r I was disappointed with whipple in the past and swore I would drown before I let them fix anything but his professionalism made me reconsider and I believe I will use whipple again if needed. best part about this is he is their fleet guy he takes care of the vans and their building so if he can do such wonderful things for me imagine what their plumbers can do. he suggested i look at facebook or whipples web site for current deals and I found the links at the bottom of the page that took me here, just thought I would give him kudos.\r more

shameless company taking advantage of old people.\r My parents (in their 80's) called them over for a quote to fix their toilet which had a leaking washer in between the bowl and water reservoir. Whipple quoted them $465.00 saying it was a special part and required a specialist to replace !!!! My Dad almost signed the quote before we could intervene. I ( a 50 + yo women) bought the washer and bolts for $9.89 and replaced it within 30 minutes.\r How dare they!!!! more

I would not call them again. I called for the $200 toilet and install. Final Bill was $349.00. It was a total bait and switch. There explanation was because they needed to install a flange, and the flange cost $150 bucks! A similar flange at home depot is $8-22 bucks. I should not have paid the full amount. But after arguing with the technician about the price, I thought well I'll just pay it and call their office and speak to a manager. Well I spoke with Ashley and she honestly said that the flange really does cost that much based on the national price list. That's BS! You know to try and be nice I was the one that un-installed the old toilet. She conceded a little and said she could refund $50 bucks. I felt like they totally took advantage of me. Why couldn't the service guy tell me up front that the Flange was going to cost that much. If I would have known that I would have stopped the installation. \r On a good note the technician was dressed nice.\r -Nate more

Very bad Idea to use this company. I work with them for 10 months in that time i've seen some questionable things that I think DOPL would question. Parts are marked up to an unbelievable prices. Decieving the public with 2nd opinions to sell Ac or Furnaces that might not need to be replaced, most of the time the 2nd opinion Sale man is not a certified tech matter a fact no true schooling at all, some wear a gas patch but not certified in gas, once you get to this point good luck because you'll be spending about 12,000 to 16,000 dollars on a system that you can get other places for fraction of the cost. Whipple equalnox is simply Goodman Furnace/ AC, but you will not find ratings on whipple equalnox but you would on Goodman, decieving yes. I've place bids against alot of good HVAC companies with good warranties, my Best Advice, it's good to check around you'll save thousands. Good Luck! more

I had a tech come out and after a bit he just went off on me when he couldn't find any problem. Then he just took left with no explanation. There was no bill, and it was so different from the last experiences I've had with them that I was shocked. I marked as not recommending, but it is probably a guarded recommendation at this time. more

Whipple finished some repair work for me a few months ago. I noticed another problem coming up, so I called them again (they did a good job the first time). Come to find out, the work was covered under their warranty, so the repair work didn't cost me a thing. I ma so thankful they were honest to me about something I didn't even know about! more

Our tech Andy found the problem very quickly and was able to repair it just as fast. Our furnace is now working again and we really appreciate the fast service! more
