Highly Recommend 3/21/2013

Brian assessed the problem, told us what was wrong and how much it would cost, then gave us a price break, and fixed the problem. And within no time, the garage door was better than new and working better than it ever has. So, glad we called Welborn Garage Doors and that they sent Brian. Broken spring on garage door 3/13/2013

Garage door tune up 2/27/2013

I purchased a coupon on Angie's list for a garage door tune up. The technician arrived right on time, oiled up various parts of the system, tightened all the bolts on the door, did a diagnosis of additional work that would be needed in the near future (my door is 14 years old) and left without pressuring me into getting the additional work done. Very efficient and reliable is the best way to summarize my experience with Welborn. more

WELL BORN ROBBERS 1/18/2012

I had my garage door tuned up and the next day my roller popped off i called to see if they could come back out and put it back in and they told me that a tune up is not under warranty. So i asked how much to get it replaced and they could not tell me. i called around and got pricing and called welborn back and ask to speak to the dumb manager again and he said 80-110 for new rollers. i said no just to replace the one or put in the old one, he said 50-75 but we give free estimates. every other company said just put it back in with a hammer, or they will do it with a tuneup for me. this company will ROB YOU BLIND.!!!! DO NOT USE YOU WILL GO BROKE!!! more

Outstanding Service!!! 12/2/2011

It's 2am, and Brian from Welborn Overhead Door just left after making an emergency repair on my door, which wouldn't shut. He explained why the problem happened, made the necessary repairs, and also replaced the rollers, which were badly needed. He pointed out some other things which could become a problem in the future, but said those items didn't need to be fixed now, so I felt like he was straightforward. I can honestly say that the 12 year old door has never worked better! Much smoother and quieter-- by far. Besides a great result, I was struck how considerate he was. Didn't seem at all troubled to be making a repair at 1AM in the morning. While he certainly gets paid, I can imagine another person/company not being as accommodating. Happy to give them 5 stars, and they're the first and only company I'll call in the future, if needed. more

Prompt and professional and fast 10/27/2011

Got 3 quotes including one from Welborn and they were the best for a garage door replacement. I had scheduled it for a couple of days in the future but actually my door quit working completely and they came out the same day with only a couple hours notice. The technician Alex did a professional job in about 1.5. hours or so and replaced everything...door, track, springs, cable, brackets, etc and tested the garage door opener thoroughly before leaving. They use the preferred nylon rollers and 24 gauge door (one of the other companies used a thinner 25 gauge). I have 0 complaints about the entire process and expect this door to last a long time...this replaced an old wooden 16' x 7' door that came with the house and last 28 years. more

Be sure to get a written cost of repair from this company. 9/2/2011

This was years ago. Welborn put a new garage door on my garage and did a fair job at a good price. However, later my garage door opener had problems. The young man (Steve S.) came out to repair the opener and I ask what it would cost and he said that it was just a small plastic piece call the (I believe) the screw drive? and that the cost would be $30 dollars. I did not think to get a written estimate or ask about labor cost. After the job that took 15 minutes, he charged me $168.00. Now before when I called they told me that if I needed a new garage door opener it would be $307 total. This was in year 2002. Hopefully, they do not pull this sort of thing anymore, but be sure to get a complete estimate up front from these guys. I of course will never use them, myself, again. By the way I contracted the owner or manager, but they would not do anything about what I felt was an over charge. It did teach me one good lesson that may have been worth the cost, I never let anyone do work for me without an written cost for the job. I also pay only by check or credit card and I have each payment or the payment sign off on. more

I have nothing but good to say about this company. They showed up when they said they would. Called in the morning and my garage door was installed by the afternoon. I thought that their price was very reasonable for the product sold. Customer service called afterward and Billie Jo was very pleasant. I will continue to use this company. Larry more

GREAT SERVICE, FAIR PRICE 4/15/2009

I called in to have my door repaired after calling two other companies that wanted my arm as well as my leg. Seeing as how I really need them, I figured I would try yet again. My technician showed up on time the same day that I called. He went over the problem, gave me an estimate ($200 cheaper than the last guy) and fixed it right there and then. Couldn't be happier.
