No Stars!! I have no proof this in really a business. I ordered pictures of my family online from a wedding they attended while I was out of town. I thought it would be a nice Christmas gift. OK, a month later Christmas comes and goes and no order received. I call and leave a very detailed message and no call back. A few days later I call again and get a pleasant lady on the phone. She says this problem is not unusual but she will check into it and give me a call back in an hour. 5 hours later I call again (still during business hours) and get the same dead end answering machine. Is this a scam!!Buyer Beware more

We hate to see reviews that are negative because Paul & Melissa have been heavenly to work with. They accomadated our schedules and blew us away with the ideas and final images they presented to us. OMGoodness were they incredible! We did not have any problem connecting with them (we are probably equally as busy running our own business). We have already scheduled follow-up portraits with our pets...Maybe those who had a less than positive experience caught them during their busy season and didn't realize that most businesses had to scale back staff in the past year to keep afloat in this ecomomy- Paul & Melissa kept their promise to us and we have some of our most cherished memories captured (& I actually look good for once!). We highly reccomend them-you will not regret it! Pros: Accomodating, Incredible Portraits, Wonderful Service Cons: Every image so incredible we wanted all of them! more

I have to agree with the previous review about the lack (or non-existent) customer service. They did not return my emails for weeks and then the phone calls were not being returned either. They apparently have hired (or had) an assistant to answer the phones and even after leaving messages with her, Melissa never called us back. It took almost two months to resolve our issues.\r \r This is just the tip of the ice burg with the problems we had with them. Do your research because there are a lot of great photographers out there that offer a lot more for the same prices or cheaper (including dvd & rights to your engagement AND wedding day photos-SO IMPORTANT). Make sure you know what photos you are getting the rights too!! I can not stress this enough. We were horrified to find out how much it cost to get the rights to our engagement photos. Even the prints you could order were considerably more expensive when compared to other photographers in the area. Those prices are listed AFTER the fact when you view your photos online. If it's not on the price list-ASK!! While our issues were finally resolved (and believe me-it was not easy), I would NOT recommend this photographer. Pros: they take good photos Cons: customer service, prices (too high and basically not being upfront about them), hard to get in touch with more

I cannot comment on the quality of their work , but the customer service provided was terrible...or shall I say non-existent . These people do not answer their phone or return phone calls . After a week's time I was notified that they could not do what I received an estimate on a week earlier . Very frustrating . Cons: Poor customer service more

We used Wake Forest Portrait Shoppe for our wedding. We loved working with them in advance and the engagement and bridal pictures were great. The photographers were at the wedding all day and were super friendly and easy to work with. We enjoyed them being part of the day. The quality of the photography is excellent.\r \r However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Orders were not filled correctly (i.e. paid for photos that we didn't get, had to wait for them to be reordered), promises not kept regarding call backs or when photos would be available. We got our engagement shot that was supposed to be in the newspaper AFTER the wedding. We were giving some family members bridal and engagement shots for gifts at the wedding but because of the ordering problem, we didn't have enough as we had planned and didn't get them until about a month after the wedding. We had to constantly follow up to get the order corrected and follow up as to its whereabouts. Very disappointing. \r \r Two months after the wedding, we still haven't seen any proofs or received any calls when we were told they would be ready about a month after. Again, we've had to take the initiative to find out what is going on with our pictures while friends who got married two weeks after we did had their proofs to view on line in 30 days. Through the whole experience, on average, it has taken four emails and two phone calls to get one call back. \r \r So, all in all, we have found this process very frustrating as we spent more on the pictures than anything else for our wedding; at the end, that's all you've got from the big event. We bought the premium (read most expensive) package and have not felt like our service has been premium since our credit card was swiped. \r \r There are plenty of photographers around so shop carefully!!! It's important to have the photographer you're working with ""connect"" with you - that allows them to truly capture the emotion of the moment. I LOVE Paul & Melissa! They are so personable and really make you feel like you're a friend - not just a client. They really seem to love what they do. I have worked with them on many occasions, all very different - yet they were FABULOUS in every situation! Portraits with the family dog, wedding day, a special event that lasted ALL DAY, and currently - pregnancy pictures! I'm looking forward to seeing what they will do when our little one arrives! They have a great ""eye"" and always seem to get the perfect shot. I will not go anywhere but to the WF Portrait Shoppe (and yes, I drive from the other side of Raleigh) for any of my family photos! UPDATE: So since my last posting I've had 2 beautiful little boys and SEVERAL more visits to see Paul and Melissa at the studio. They are fabulous!! They somehow manage to capture my little ones EVERY time. Most recently was our pictures with Santa. This is something new they did this year and it was INCREDIBLE! We had plenty of time to visit with the jolly man, meanwhile they were busy getting the perfect shot without the kids really even knowing. My friend was in the shoot right after me, and she also got great shots of her boys. It makes for AMAZING Christmas cards!!! I had my pictures put on a disc while my friend ordered individual prints to include in her cards. Either way, the quality is unbelievable and this year was our best card yet! I HIGHLY recommend them and encourage you to check in 'seasonally' (i.e., Easter, Christmas, etc) to see what specials they may be running. It's certainly worth it! Pros: Great fun to work with, reasonable rates, EXCELLENT and professional finished product! more
