Every review here is right on. This site is a total ripoff. A month after my order I still have nothing but a charge on my credit card. No one answers the phone, e-mail replies take days and tersely speak of an imminent delivery, which will probably never come. I am disputing the charge with Visa now. Next time, I will dig deeper for reviews before I purchase. Would make it no stars, if I could. more

I won't bother recounting my personal experience because it's basically the same as everyone else's. I will just say this: If you haven't ordered from them, don't. If you're like me & didn't see any of the bad online reviews until after you ordered, do not bother trying to follow up with them and get them to fulfill your order. Just call your credit card co. & tell them your account has been compromised. Explain the situation, & if the charge has already gone through they should tag it as fraudulent. Then report it to the Redding police department using the e-mail address at . The business has or had a city business license. more

Awful! 4/5/2011

They don't answer their phone (toll call, no 800 number), they don't respond to emails. If you have a problem, you're out of luck. I had a problem, they didn't deliver part of the order. After dozens of emails and TOLL CALLS, nothing. Don't waste your time, money and effort. Worst online ordering experience I have ever had. more

I am in total agreement with agnes.... there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at Village Kitchen -- whenever I call the phone # 530-221-5600 -- you get a recording that their representatives are currently helping other customers and to e-mail any requests to sales@villagekitchen com -- which all you ever receive from the e-mail is an automated response that someone will research your request and get back with you -- I placed my order and paid for it on 2/3 and have not had any response from the company whatsoever -- You never get to speak with a HUMAN BEING on their customer service line and their e-mail system is a complete JOKE -- but they sure are QUICK to take your MONEY but when do you ever receive your product -- well don't ask the company because you cannot get in touch with ANYONE -- I am wondering if the company even exists at all and they have basically STOLEN my money -- my next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau and report them for FRAUD or SOMETHING!! -- If you are considering placing an order with this ""so-called"" company -- think twice because I really believe it does not even exist!! more

More than two months have passed and I am still actively pursuing this company on the receipt of an order placed and paid for in full in early Sep 05. Their customer service department has not once taken the responsibility to update the cosumer (me) on when I should expect delivery. I, the consumer, have initiated contact every time - each time kindly requesting for an update and/or resolution. This issue remains open still to this day. If you look at their website - it lacks contact information. A consumer is reduced to emailing their company in hopes for a reply. As a consumer, one should not have to conduct research to obtain a telephone number. Cons: Customer Service, Order Tracking, Back Order more
