veterinary medical center in west islip 8/10/2009

I have used Dr. La Croix, the veterinary eye doctor and Dr. Sean Hillock, the internist. They are both excellent vets, and very patient with someone who asks a lot of questions. If I had an emergency after hours, I would definitely go there. I do find the cost fairly high, however, but this is Long Island!!!!! more

Experts in diagnosis and care, caring and honest people.... the best 3/12/2009

I brought my 10 year old cat to the specialist at VMCLI and he was great. He diagnosed my cat quickly, explained everything very clearly and nicely and did not suggest unnecessary tests. Very different experience than the one that I had 3 years prior at another place that treated me and another cat poorly and cost me a fortune. I have spoken to several animal loving friends and they have all had great experiences at VMCLI with various doctors. The place is first rate!! more

Deinitely not recommended 9/5/2007

They keep people waiting for hours. They have rude and incompetent staff. They are not good with animals. They are overpriced. Most importantly, they give bad medical care. Pros: hours Cons: everything else more

Great in an emergency 6/22/2006

A few years ago one of my dogs broke his leg. It was about 10 pm and I had to find him a vet asap. So I checked the yellow pages and came up with the Vet Emergency Center. They told me to bring him down right away. The vet was there when I got there and he fixed up my poor little dog right away. He was also reasonably priced. more

Absolutely Wonderful 2/18/2006

I recommend these vet's to anyone with a pet who needs special care. They have all the equipment to accurately diagnose the problem your pet is having. They are very straight forward about what to expect and do not push for unnecessary testing. Everyone I came in contact with there was very professional and very caring. \r During a very difficult time they went out of their way to not only make time for my pet whenever I called, but to help me deal with the decisions that had to be made. more

Professional and dedicated veterians and staff are there 24/24 for any emergency case. Fully equipped installations, cutting egde technology for the best care possible. more
