Best

The only place I would bring Stuffy to. They treat him so nice and everyone is also very friendly to me as well. Thank you!

Worst

These guys should have their license revoked!! Stay away and if I could give them 0- 1/2 star I would!!! They advertise that Oprah likes this place - She got it wrong - VERY wron...

I trust them 7/13/2010

Everyone who has watched our cat has been so wonderful. When we return home there are detailed notes of what happened while we were away. On a couple of occasions our cat has been sick and they did an excellent job of cleaning up and notifying me of the situation. I trust them and would recommend them to anyone. more

Big hassle--worst customer service ever 10/21/2009

Aside from the walkers themselves, everything about Urban Outsitters is horrible. Because you prepay for your service and UO staff is extremely incompetent (partly due to high turnover), be prepared to be on the phone with them once a week or more trying to get your invoices straightened out. I don't think I ever spoke to the same person twice. They overcharged me almost every month and would take weeks to refund my card. When I finally canceled my service, they charged me for another month anyway, even though no one was coming to my house! It took me several weeks just to get them to give me my keys back. Sixty days and a dozen phone calls later, I am still out $100. Originally, I went with UO because I thought it would be easy. What a mistake! I am now using Supreme Pet Care and I can't believe the difference. Best of all, I'm done dealing with the carousel of incompetents at UO (once I get my $100 back, that is). Do yourself and your pets a favor: Go somewhere else! Pros: Walkers friendly Cons: Unreliable, overcharge your credit card every month more

horrible place for animals:( 9/28/2009

as a former employee. listen people, they cage your dogs all night. some employees beat and beat dogs off of the camera's eye. numerous dogs are starved from day to day. maybe fed once over a three day period. they are always over capacity shoving 2 to 3 dogs into one cage for overnight stays. the place is filthy and filled with insects from all the loose dog food scattered everywhere. there is a field of fungus growing all over the 1st floor bathroom. mushrooms the size of you head growing out of the ceiling. there is never enough of any form of disinfectants to clean anything. the daytime manage just say's "hey use dish soap in the mop buckets" yeah that's keeping things clean ok. the entire facility reeks of urine and fecal. mop heads are changed maybe once a month if lucky. And oh just ask ozzie guillen what happened to his little 15 year old poodle second base, his chest was torn wide open a vicious pitbull. beign as though they take any dog now matter how violent it is towards other dogs. hell the facility's manager puts her own pitball out in the yard with the dogs in the daytime. I personally saw it attack over a dozens dogs in just one month. her dog is not even suppose to be in with other dogs. plus it has no tags and is not registered with the city. who knows what diseases it could have. oh and what's the most disgusting thing is how the facility manager glues your dogs wounds together with crazy glue to stop the bleeding. yes this is really happening. you'd be better leaving your dog with a vet in a cage all day. your dogs will be safe, more well fed, and it's cheaper. this is not a free range kennel. more

Would NOT recommend 9/3/2009

I had a bad experience at Urban Out Sitters in the West Loop. The place is disorganized and not clean. But even worse they don't pay attention to your dog during daycare. There are much better places to take your dog right in the neighborhood. more

THE MOST DISHONEST PEOPLE YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR DOGS WITH 9/3/2009

I wish you can mark places with negative stars.. this place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! NEVER bring your dogs here. All over their website, it says that they don't put the dogs in cages..yeah right! They had provided my friend with a username and password so that she can watch her dogs play while she was on vacation.. and one day it didn't work.. then she had called in and told them it wasn't working and I guess one of the workers had given her the admin password to the cameras that surveillance the entire place. What do you know.. she saw her two dogs in crates!!! This place is a scam! I think before I started writing this review.. I read in one of the reviews that someone saw the workers kick the crates that had dogs in them! Wow.. how is this place not shut down? My friend had then called the place to tell them that she saw her dogs in crates and then the worker said ""that's cause your dogs were fight with each other"".. what do you know!! they were in the same cage.. What kind of moron puts two fighting dogs in the same cage.. if you want your dogs to be in the care of people that mistreat dogs and lie to your face.. then go for it! Cons: EVERYTHING more

This is reference to the post ?BEWARE: many fraudulent reviews...? Sara Travis in fact was a former employee of Urban Out Sitters. Although her heart was in the right place; her termination in the Summer of '08 (not '07) was a result of, unsatisfactory work - she could not meet UOS growth or wanted to extend herself beyond the necessary tasks for the treatment for each dog. Her much needed release - consequently allowing her to pursue her true passions in life (photography and making coffee) - bridged the way for a generation of professionals, each one with a limitless thirst to work and attention to detail - brushing, bathing, walking and loving each animal as their own. After much time has passed; Sara feels there is some relevance to attack UOS; A company she once had a strong, endearing liking toward. More to date - UOS has in place already - a strong connection with each client and employee - it was asked by each group on a number of dates to post a review sharing their experiences with the facility. Post Ms Travis's termination in '08 - She is not aware of who HAS or is CURRENTLY working for UOS (a fact is there has been five employees with the name Chris, plus the one she is referring too.) and also any reviewer can generate any desired name. Her overall lack of knowledge and insight into UOS does not justify her to insinuate a charge of wrong doing. To reference the negative posts; allegedly toward every dog daycare facility within the Chicago area - It is not surprising to most that Yelp is currently under litigation, on a downward spiral thanks to the media - warranting invalid reviews, false advertising and slanderous attacks toward a good business. Taking an unbaised approach - Sara should spend her past time focusing on her photography and sipping lattes. "sip knowledge at its source" Pros: better off not working with animals. Cons: no growth possibility. not willing to work hard. more

Unprofessional, Disorganized, Terrible Customer Service 12/3/2008

We've had problems with Urban Out Sitters ever since we handed our keys over to them a few months ago. First, we would have a different walker every few days. Sometimes our puppy wouldn't receive his food because the new walker of the day didn't know he/she was supposed to feed him. Then one day, we came home to find our puppy running loose around the house because the walker failed to close his crate door properly. We were tempted to cancel our services, but decided to give them another chance. But that was pointless as they continued to find other ways to mess up.\r \r With most companies, it's very simple -- they provide a service and you pay for that service. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way at Urban. If you like to pay by credit/debit card, forget about it, because they don't let you set up a payment date. At UOS, they charge your card whenever they feel like it.\r \r And if you think you can bypass this by paying by check, don't bother, because they won't cash those either. We've waited over 3 weeks for checks to be cashed. And even then, they will still use your credit card number if they notice an ""error in billing"" without even notifying you about it. Your notice is seeing the charge appear in your credit card/bank statement. Even their bills never properly indicate the services you set up, and when you set up your walks, you may or may not receive an email notification of it.\r \r But most importantly, please do not contact them to complain, because the owner will explain to you how it is your fault because they don't usually have to deal with checks. And if their system randomly reviews payments from three months ago and decides it undercharged you, they have no control over the ""system.""\r \r Please, do yourself a favor a go to one of the dozens of dog-walking establishments that actually take care of their clients - both canine and human. Pros: In the neighborhood Cons: Lack of customer service, unprofessional, discourteous more

Personal attention, excellent facilities, reasonable costs, and a warm caring atmosphere. Have recommended them to many people, all of whom have been delighted! One of my better experiences in daycare :) 8/11/2008

I have a little dog who is fairly shy. I have lived in the area for awhile but hadn't heard about this place until the Market Days festival when I walked by. SoI decided to try with my dog there. I felt content with leaving her here and she seems to have been doing fine so far. I was afraid on the first day that she might come home shaking in fear as she did after a day at another daycare...but she seemed very content. I was told that she did not play very much with other dogs during her day their, but that she did play with the humans a little bit. Hopefully with time she will warm up to other dogs more. Pros: patient staff Cons: not open on Sundays more
