Could it get any better! Amazing breakfast and great live music. You have to know what you are getting in to though... if you don't like the band at night it's hard to escape. ...

best place for local music 8/15/2002

The Uptown has been a place to see music for me for a long time. (And also the occasional bite!) Just wanted to say I've seen some grrreaat bands here! Any club with music 7 nights a week gets my vote! Go see Blondio Mohip - they ROCK my world.... Pros: great prices, stiff drinks! Cons: bad parking! more

This Place Rocks 8/7/2002

I have comming here since I was a kid. Now I'm all grown up and I still come here. I have whatched it go through all it's changes and staff and I still see good old Stretch once in a while. Not that any of you should know who Stretch is, unless you have been going to the Uptown as long as I have. more

Awesome Breakfast & Bloody Marys! 7/29/2002

The Uptown Bar and Cafe is our favorite breakfast place around. It is always packed on Sunday mornings with the morning-after crowds - but it is well worth the wait! The have the best gyros-meat breakfasts going. Service is always good and prices are reasonable. We have a entire set of glasses from the bloody mary's and screwdriver specials, too. I highly recommend the place - it can't be beat! more

The Uptown Experience... 7/22/2002

The Uptown Bar & Cafe is one of Uptown's greatest legacies, and if you haven't caught a show there to experience the new (as of 5/2002) sound system (which makes it in a high-end class by itself) it is highly recommended that you do so. Live music is Thursdays (usually a $0 cover), Friday & Saturday nights. Breakfast is served all day long (winter to 9PM and summer to 10PM) accompanied by The Cities Best Bloodies and patio seating help emmensely when one is feeling a bit groggy from the night before. Pros: new sound system, breakfast all day, best bloodies Cons: service can be bad, crowded, patio too small more
