Unfortunately the service I received was very poor. The first tech did not even stick around to see if the problem is fixed and I paid for the service call and an hour of labor for turing the pilot on on my water heater. I call back again for service since the problem was never diagnosed the first time. After few hours the tech came and diagnosed the problem and replaced the pilot assembly and I had to pay for additional labor plus an outrageous amount for the part. I just could not understand that it takes an hour and half to replace a pilot assembly on a water heater. I do not believe even installing a water heater would take that much labor. more

Bought a brand new furnnace in 2006, within 3 years the problems started.\r Circuit board went out, still under warranty. Not only charged for the service call but also cahrged for diagnostics-which we'd already had done and TOLD them what was wrong and what we wanted fixed.\r the next year paid another $120 for them to come out and replace the ignitor, which is no longer under warranty because the furnace is 6 yrs old.\r Can't do anything online-everything has to be done by phone. An hour later and am still waiting in a COLD house for a tech to call me back.\r We bought a new furnace because we were tired of calling repair guy's every year to fix the old one....nothing has changed, except now they are coming out to fix a newer furnace. Thanks United! more

United Heating and Cooling Frustrations 7/11/2011

Installed new furnace and A/C unit this past fall; chose United Heating and Cooling because of the Amana name and their 10-year warranty. However, problems from the first with the condenser not set up properly -- was set on Heat exchange improperly, and ran all the time. And problems with the thermostat, which had to be replaced. It is still not functioning properly; the display goes blank so that it cannot be programmed. New 'high efficiency variable blower' unit takes up to 2 days to cool my house down. Now that the weather is hot, the condenser has not run at all for two days and I have no A/C. Haven't been able to get service; company says they are 'very busy.' I am very dissatisfied, and at this point would not encourage others to consider this company. more
