We used this company for our wedding and conveniently they forgot to show up and pick up 30 of our passengers. I disputed the charge with AMEX and they won two disputes because they were able to provide receipts and a signed contract. At no time did they provide proof of their arrival at the wedding. I had to pay for my guests cabs and have a memory of a horrible ending to a wedding because of this vendor. I am suing.\r \r Customer service was horrible and they didn't return calls or emails for weeks. Do not ruin your party by hiring this company. more

Dont use this company! We booked an 18 person party bus complete with the usual amenities for a CT to MA trip. Instead a 24 seat shuttle bus with uncomfortable 2 x 2 seats a radio system with horrible sound and no legroom. When we tried to contact our agent there was no response and the driver claimed to have no contact info even in case of emergency. We made the best of it and made the trip. When my friend who had booked the bus called US Coachways on Monday she was treated very poorly. First she was told it was her own fault and put on hold several times and even disconnected. Cynthia (the booking agent) and Josephine were incredibly rude and acted as though they couldn'tBe botheres to help her. At one point Cynthia admitted to miscommunicating the information but she wasnt going to do anything about it. This company is horrible and we will be letting everyone know! more

I recently booked a party bus for a small reunion with a group of friends from college. The bus was very nice and comfortable for everyone. Tommy our driver was extra friendly and made sure that everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend these guys. I will be using them again. more

I joined this site simply to review this company. Where to start? Obviously, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm not sure how I can be more clear than that. This is not just a company which makes frequent mistakes with vital transportation reservations, but I was amazed at how heartless, unprofessional, and arrogant their representatives were. There's really no need for me to type the details of my disaster experience with this company, but imagining a group of nearly 40 adults with developmental and physical disabilities stranded and being financially swindled by US Coachways is all you need to know. These innocent and vulnerable people were quite literally taken advantage of by the scum of the earth. If I prevent even just one person from using this company, I will feel almost vindicated for what I put up with dealing with US Coachways. more

DO NOT USE US COACHWAYS! US Coachways called the morning of my wedding, with less than 6 hours before the reservation, to tell me that the 56-passenger bus we reserved (and already paid over $1000 for) had some mechanical issues and would not be available. No apology and no attempt to find another solution. The agent simply called to deliver the news and then tried to get off the phone as quickly as possible. When I demanded that they help find a solution -- contact other charter companies serving my area, etc. -- she said she would make some calls and get back to me. I NEVER heard back from her or anyone else at US Coachways. I tried to call her ~10 more times in the hours that followed, left repeated messages and never heard back. Nothing to this day. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get reimbursed. Can you imagine a shuttle cancellation the morning of your wedding, no apology, no attempt to address the situation, and no return phone call? EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SITUATION STINKS OF DISHONESTY. more

US Coachways provide excellent service, and excellent driver and a beautiful bus (3 months old). I rented the bus for a trip from CT to NYC for the San Genarro festival. The driver was early and greeted everyone as they arrived. Once on the bus, he provided us an excellent selection of movies for the ride and pointed out landmarks on the way. He was able to get us within' 2 blocks of Mulberry Street and provided his cell phone in case anyone got lost on the way back. more

Great experience! I have used US Coachways for a few of a large events and they have been a pleasure to deal with. I was lucky enough to be assigned to a great manager, Kieth Monti, who ensured that every detail was taken care of for the best price possible. We have used them for both regular coach buses and luxury coach buses, and have been happy all around. They have been timely and responsive throughout. more

Reading all the comments here is confusing. I just had a school field trip with the school that I am teaching in and the customer service was great. Joe was really helpful with all his advises about who I should get in touch with about venues that I needed for a party that I wasn't even going to use US Coachways for!! Anyway, for what its worth, my experience was good for this company and will use again in the near future because they have shown me commitment. more

I just have to say something about Eric, the bus driver who drove the party bus we rented. He was accomodating and even rerouted without complaint, was friendly and so so so funny. The bus had a mini bar and was comfortable. Appreciated everything you did for us, Eric! And thank you, US Coachways, for being a part of my wedding! more

We had booked a bus to out state with this company.They internally su b-contracted to another company and it's driver gave us hard time through out the tour.They demanded additional money at night for us to return back.Very bad experience. more

Do not use! US Coachways NEVER SHOWED up for my wedding after paying for and booking months in advance. I called to confirm time, date, and pick up locations on numerous occassions and when my wedding day came, they were a no-show. What made matters worse is that I had a destination wedding, transporting 100+ guests to and from their hotels to the reception venue. There were 100 guests left stranded in an area where taxi cabs aren't readily available. In addition, I paid for a cocktail hour that was never used...guests who were stranded outside their hotels waiting for 2 hours for a bus to never show up, and a very unhappy bride! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I have yet to be reimbursed the money paid and have lost thousands of dollars. more

I had a terrible experience with this 6/9/2012

I had a terrible experience with this company. DO NOT USE! I was fooled by their strong website and online presence, and by the responsiveness of their sales staff. In fact, I went with them even though they were more expensive than other quotes I received. Once I booked, my experience went downhill fast. I reserved two buses to transport guests from two separate hotels to my wedding venue. Some of the problems that I encountered: 1. Each bus showed up late. One bus driver didn't have directions to get from the hotel to the wedding venue. One of my guests had to use his iPhone to guide the driver. 2. At the end of the night when the buses were supposed to shuttle guests from the venue back to the hotels, they both left before the appointed time for the last trip, stranding about 30 guests at the wedding venue. 3. When we called the dispatch number to get the buses to come back for the stranded guests, the dispatcher at first couldn't locate our reservation, and then when he found it, he couldn't reach the bus drivers! 4. The process to confirm the buses was a nightmare, The sales person assured me that ""everything was set."" Since it was my wedding, I wanted to double check. The ""project manager"" assigned to me first didn't respond, then it turned out that they actually only had 1 bus reserved for me. The project manager told me that she would take care of it, but each time I called back, it still wasn't done. It took about 10 or 15 calls over the course of two weeks until the night before the wedding for them to finally confirm they had a bus for me. It wasn't the school bus that I wanted, but they gave me a free upgrade to two mini buses. It was very stressful to have it go to the last minute, and with all the details involved in wedding planning, a totally unnecessary distraction. One significant problem I think with the company is that the customer keeps getting handed off. The sales person was great - emailed me back right away, including over the weekend. But then the project manager wasn't as responsive, and couldn't really make anything happen. She kept checking with a separate team which actually manages the buses, and she couldn't lock down the confirmation (even though she kept telling me she would confirm right away). Then, during the actual job, a separate dispatcher is supposed to be available - but as I said above, they couldn't actually reach the bus drivers. In summary, l had a terrible, stressful, experience with USCoachways. I wish I had read the other reviews of the company on Yelp before using them, since my experience seems to be fairly typical. more

Not sure why they call it customer service 5/27/2012

The weekend before my school group went to DC, I still had not received a confirmation number. I had to put someone else in control of trying to get ahold of them as I would be in charge of a large group and unable to be on hold or take phone calls that are supposed to be within the hour (but are lucky to happen at all). Finally the day before the event I get ahold of a manager who tells me that my project manager (who never answers her phone) has just sent me an email confirmation. When I return to the hotel, I received 2 emails telling me I had to fax it back to make sure I had the tour. So, I do (which is really inconvenient since I am still chaperoning students). With fax confirmation in hand, I receive phone calls that day and on our return trip back that I need t fax them their confirmation. If you want to be unsure of whether or not you have a tour bus and then be harassed at the last minute as if putting things off to the last minute was your fault, this is the tour company for you. And this is not a one time experience. I have given them multiple chances. This is simply how they function. more

Hard to Find... 5/25/2012

I've been doing business with US Coachways for a few years now and until recently became dissatisfied when i got bumped by someone at their main office. i was upset to say the least because i made the reservation in a timely fashion and the response i received for losing my bus was luke warm, at best. i was then left with little time to make alternate arrangements so i called back US coachways and asked my usual customer service agent Susan Barret to look into the matter. She got my bus back. I don't know how, but she did. Susan represents what's good about customer service; she's polite no matter how many times i call and is always willing to accomodate me no matter what. in my moment of frustration she was calm, collected and proved to be my ally. The only reason i gave coachways 3 instead of 5 stars was because the bus Ms. Barret fought for on my behalf came at a more expensive rate.....for someone else's mistake. Either way, it wasn't her fault... Thanks Susan!!! more

Booked for corporate event! 5/24/2012

After many disappointing experiences with other bus companies I found US Coachways online and decided to give them a try. I was a little hesitate since I was booking a corporate event and I did not want to leave a bad impression with our clients. However, that was not the case at all! Their customer service was extremely professional and responsive. I made several changes to my reservation and they were always quick to respond and accomondate us. The bus arrived on time, it was clean and the driver was courteous. Everyone had a great time and there were no complaints. I now have a bus company I can use for all my corporate events and will definitely recommend to my coworkers! more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! 5/2/2012

i'm honestly not even giving this company a star, but its required, they don't deserve it. For 3 months i have been playing a 24 passenger party bus for our senior ball. The ball is now a month away, 2 days ago before we handed in all of our money we called our representative, Nicholas, and he said everything was set and to hand in the money. So we did, today in school, i get a call, ""we cant find a bus for you"" they refunded our money....but if they couldn't find a bus why didn't they tell us that in the first place. Now i have less than a month to organize another party bus for 24 teenagers. DO NOT TRUST THEM. more

Run away, don't look back 4/29/2012

Most unprofessional, disreputable company I have ever dealt with. Beware & go somewhere else. Read down for other reviews... i won't waste my time recounting my experience other than to say we were screwed out of our fee & did not receive the service we contracted for. When dealing with the company representative, we could not believe the lack of customer service & abusive language. more
