BUYER/CONSIGNOR BEWARE, VICTORIA, THE OWNER, HAS MANY ALIASES AND I'M THINKING THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF THEM! IT CERTAINLY SOUNDS LIKE IT. SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS? REALLY? IF IT ISN'T, ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS JUST WAIT. DISHONESTY COMES IN MANY FORMS. THOSE THAT HAVE SELECTED NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH TWO TIMERS, WHICH I AM ONE OF THEM, ARE THOSE THAT ARE BETTER OFF. ALTHOUGH I AM SORRY FOR HER LOSS AND HER GRIEVING I HONESTLY BELIEVE WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HOW SHE TREATS CLIENTS WHICH WENT ON WAY BEFORE HER GRIEVING BEGAN. I HOPE SHE FINDS PEACE AND LEARNS HOW TO BE A BETTER PERSON BY BEING RESPECTFUL AND HONEST WITH OTHERS. i FIND HER SCARY AND THREATENING. i APPRECIATE PAT K'S AND LEISHA K'S COMMENTS AND I THINK THEY ARE SPOT ON. I WOULD NORMALLY NEVER REVIEW A BUSINESS UNLESS IT'S UNBELIEVABLY BAD AND HAVEN'T DONE BUSINESS WITH TWO TIMERS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND MY LIFE IS BETTER FOR IT. more

I have been a client of Two Timers for a few years now. I have been very happy with the service and professionalism and have made several thousands of dollars as well. The owner is a very nice, very honest person. I once had an issue with a dress I bought due to a repair that I had not seen and it made the dress not fit right. The owner immediately refunded my money, no questions asked. As with any situation, communication and business works best when mutual respect is involved. You have to be willing to express your expectations and understand the expectations (and yes rules of engagement) when consigning your items. One also needs to not be on a high horse about your stuff, its stuff, and if you cannot agree on things, take your stuff and go someplace that works for you. There have been things I brought with my consignments that Victoria has passed on, it happens, and I did not have a disagreement..cause it's not personal. Why would you scream at another human being because they don't think your ""stuff"" is a good fit for their store? As for the check situation, I can certainly understand how frustrating that is for some. I also can see how frustrated ownership has been by not being able to meet that expectation. I also cannot imagine the legal wrangling of an estate while keeping your business going and grieving at the same time. If your ability to survive is dependent upon $30 or $40 from your resale shop, that is a tough one, and I am sorry you are in such a situation. The owner is a person of integrity, I am sure everything will work out and I for one will support her business as she recovers. I love Two Timers consignment, and will stay a loyal client. more

I have been going to this store for over 4 years. PJ used to own the store and sold it to Victoria Ewell. I take brand new items and gently used cleaned clothing. I went to pick up a check owed to me for clothes sold before Sept 19th 2013 and was informed that there was a death and I could not be paid. I returned in 3 weeks and was informed of the same. I returned again in two weeks and the Mother of the owner was present when I asked to pick up my check stressing that I had been furloughed and really needed it. The Mother of the owner turned around and yelled at me "" Don't you know someone died "". More than shocked I quietly said I would need to take my business elsewhere but would like to be paid and would come back. I returned 3 more times with a witness . I requested my remaining clothes not sold be returned to me and went through my list with one of the sales persons who said she would pull them. I gave permission for my friend to pick them up during the week because I work full time and don't get off work until 5:00 and have 45-60 min drive home and the store is closed. My friend went to get them and the owner would not give my clothes to her. I then called the store and asked what the problem was and the owner told me I had to get them myself ( I told her I couldn't I was at work). I asked why my clothes were being held hostage and I wasn't getting paid for items sold ($136.00) and she said they were donated. I told her that wasn't legal and asked for her attorney's name and she hung up on me. I returned today with my friend and witness and asked to pick up my clothes and the owner said ""their donated because you didn't come in by the date"". I was very upset and asked why she would do something like that when I had been coming no less than 5 times to try to get my clothes and money owed to me at which the owners response was "" I'm calling the police"". I went and sat in the parking lot and called the police who came and tried talking with her and had no positive response. The officer told me the items were donated last night to "" Hangers"" which is Tri Lakes Cares. I went to "" Hangers' and spoke with the women explaining my situation and was told they had not had a donation from Two Timers for over a month. I left my phone numbers, name etc for them to notify me if they get a donation from Two Timers. This is a ridiculous situation, totally uncalled for and certainly is no way to run a business. I am filing complaints and pursuing this with an attorney. Do not take your clothes to this place, they are dishonest, rude and probably a scam !!!! more

I completely agree with Yvonne and Myra. I took clothes to Two Timers for years and it was great when PJ was the owner. Ever since she sold the business it has gone completely downhill! \r My mom passed away and had tons of brand name clothes, a lot of them new with tags. Stuff from Macys, Dillard’s, Chico’s, Coldwater Creek. I took several items in, they told me only 5 items at a time. I managed to talk one of the former employees into 12. I had several hundred pieces of clothing to sell. And they were not the least bit interested in helping me out. They lost all of my items, had no record of them. The man that works there, I’m assuming the husband of Victoria said to me, ""Well, they are out on the floor somewhere"". They blamed it on a computer problem. They couldn’t find my paperwork, you have to write down every single item you take in, so be sure to keep a copy for yourself!! When I finally did speak to Victoria on the phone, she says “What’s the problem!?” in a very nasty tone. I explained my situation and she said a few had sold and then told me the rest of my items had been donated when I had clearly marked the form that I wanted them back. I will not do business with them again.\r The store is a mess and there are always small children running around, they apparently take their kids to work with them. No way to run a business if you ask me.\r I found a place in Denver, called Athenas Closet, its a plus size consignment store. A bit of a drive, but worth it. My first trip I dropped off around 90 items and withn a month or so I had a check for $324.00 in my hand. Rosanna the owner is nice, honest and keeps very good records. more

Tried dealing with them for the first time ever today. Have a lot of coats, sweaters, jackets, shirts to sell or consign so I called to ask if the were taking clothes. I called and they said they only take clothes Tuesday thru Friday and it requires an appointment. Since I work full time I asked for clarification--so I can't sell items thru Two Timers if I work during the week? Ok so the first lady on the phone handed me over to a second lady to address that question. Second lady said she'd be willing to make a one-time exception to give me an appt on Saturday (their busiest day). Then she told me that everything had to be on hangers, cleaned, pressed, ready to sell. Ok, that's reasonable I figured. Then she informed me that they only take 20 hanging items at a time. So I clarified--if I have 50 sweaters to sell I'd have to make 3 appointments/trips? The answer was yes. And since they don't accept clothes on weekends (except for a one-time exception with a cap of 20 hanging items) I concluded they were impossible for me to deal with as someone who works during the week. more

Thanks to my kind friends. They peak the truth. The only thing I will say is that Terry is right, the only person I have had an issue with is Yvonne, and that is only after she yelled at myself and my employees, which is unacceptable, after all, we are adults. \r \r I love Two Timers and all of the amazingly awesome women who have lifted me up and supported me through all the ups and downs of being a business owner. I could have never dreamed my life would be so fulfilled by all the wonderful women I have met and have made friends with. I will choose to focus on them rather than stagnate in negativity with Yvonne. \r \r As far as you ""Vikki E"", WHO ARE YOU???? I have never met you, you do not have an account at my store, so I am curious as to how you formed an opinion about me at all. Oh well, some people need the drama, I am not among them. more

I happen to know the owner and Roslynns description of her is wholly accurate and Yvonnes is so over the top with untruths, it's clear to me that anyone who had a bad experience with the owner created it. She doesn't have it in her to lecture, yell or name call. When she reads yvonnes comments I have a feeling she will be flabbergasted. Yvonne must be THE ONE she told me about months ago. THE ONLY consigned she's ever had a problem with. Her comments are how much she loves the business and especially the women who consign and her customers.\r \r Roslynn is right, she works constantly and never raises her voice. I should know, we were roommates for a long time. Generous to a fault, and trust me if you buy something at Two Timers and you have issues, she will make them go away, period.\r \r By the way, she has over 2300 consign ears and only one problem, that being of course, Yvonne. You figure out which opinion is accurate.\r \r Be careful, Yvonne, to what more you say (or publish, the term used for defamation) on this or any other public forum. So far, it just sounds to vitriolic to ring true, but . . . .\r more

Unless you ""own"" the website you can not legally run IP address in search of authors.\r Let it also be known ""Roslynn"", the authors are in FACT different people with much the same OPINION.\r Roslynn your comments are threatening and you should not be commenting on personal contractual agreements with a business and client. \r You seem VERY, (too), familiar with someone else's business. Perhaps you, are one in the same?\r \r You use ""kind"" and ""generous"" as though it is earned and deserved.\r I have a much different opinion, Yvonne has an opinion.\r We are entitled to our opinions :0) more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/1/2013

I am certain it won't come as a surprise to anyone who read the last two reviews, that when I ran the IP addresses of the ""authors"", they traced back to the same person. Pathetic. \r I am a business owner here in Monument and I have had the privilege to meet and get to know Victoria, the new owner of Two Timers, I also have had the misfortune of meeting Yvonne, as have about 5 other business owners here in town. Her reputation precedes her, her notoriety is no joke. She is a nasty customer who treats everyone like dirt, and tries to pull the crap you read below when someone doesn't bow to her. \r \r I was in the store the day Yvonne called Victoria, and it is NOTHING even remotely like what she said. First of all, Victoria is TINY, and her raising her voice to someone is not only unlikely, it's probably not possible. I heard her ask to not be screamed at as she explained how she made clear to you the check mailing policies as well as the time limit you had to pick up your clothes. Shame on you for trying to pin your irresponsibility on her. We also looked up your account after your phone call, in the 8 years the shop has been open, you NEVER once drew a check for more than a hundred dollars, you barely cleared 20 most of the time. And shame on you again for blaming Victoria for your items not selling. Is it her fault no one wanted your crap? Business is great there, sales are strong, so it's not something she has done wrong, perhaps you need to bring in better than Kohl's quality items and you might realize more of a profit. \r \r Forgive me if I sound a bit put out, but I am. Victoria wouldn't dignify you crap with a response, but myself, and several other women in town wanted to clear the record. \r \r Victoria is one of the KINDEST, most GENEROUS women you will find, her shop is FULL of in style high end clothing that she sells at VERY reasonable prices. She works about 6 days a week, no less than 12 hours a day to make it perfect for her customers. NO ONE IN TOWN HAS A BAD WORD TO SAY ABOUT HER. On top of taking over a business, giving anything and everything she has to anyone in need, and having to deal with this kind of crap, she also is dealing with a father dying of Lou Gherig's disease, we are appalled that someone as nasty as Yvonne is known to be, would add even more negativity to a person as sweet and genuine as she is. \r \r Rest assured, if you shop or consign at Two Timers, she will treat you like gold and bend over backwards to take care of you. That is if you are coherent enough to speak in a tone less than full on screaming....we could hear Yvonne through the phone from across the store.\r \r And Yvonne, we are all pushing for Victoria to get her attorney involved, I know at least six shop keepers her in town prepared to testify to your nastiness and dishonesty. You have been making up lies and trying to bully all of us for years when we don't let you rip us off through your fit throwing tactics. You are persona-non-grata from this moment forward, you will be asked to leave if you step foot in any of our businesses. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! more

I have been taking my clothes to Two Timers for consignment for years. I have never had a problem until the past several months. Both my daughter and I have an account there because I have a ton of clothes that were still either brand new or almost new and I had lost weight and needed to sell them. My daughter and I both had accounts and we each took turns taking clothing in. In December or January, we hadn't received a check for the most recent batch of clothes and when we called we were given a speech about how we signed paperwork that we agreed to donate our unsold clothes. We knew that. My question was, ""how could I not have a single check for everything that was brought in""? After the clerk argued with me, she put someone else on the phone and it turned out I did have a check sitting there for about $130.00. My daughter put in another batch of clothes. She tried to call several times and the phone wasn't working. Their website we are supposed to use to check the progress of our sales was also down. I was finally able to reach them by phone recently and asked about where my check was and the clerk started out with the usual ""you agreed to donate what didn't sell speech"". When I asked if ANYTHING sold, she said you have a check for $10.00 here. I said I didn't understand. I have been dealing with the store for years and I always got checks for a lot more than that. She told me they had a new owner (as of June 2012), and gave me the new owners name and number. I left the new owner a message, and when she called me she replied immediately, without listening to anything I had to say called me ""unpleasant"". After a lot of yelling going back and forth, I just said I would review her company and service online. She in return left me nasty message stating that she played my message for her attorney and she would sue me if I left any kind of remarks on the internet that affected her business. We never got around to discussing why things weren't selling, why they kept the first check for over $130 without sending it to my daughter, or why I couldn't call her and state my case before she had to get into name calling. I have noticed there has been one complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau against this company in 2/13 that went unanswered by the owner. If you want your clothes to actually sell and you want to receive the check, I would suggest going elsewhere. This woman has a poor sense of listening to the customer and the clothes aren't selling the way they have in the past years. I don't know what has changed besides the owner, but don't expect to be listened to if you have a problem. She has a nasty temper for someone who owns a business. more

Best consignment store between Denver and Colorado Springs. Can't say a bad thing about it. 7/28/2008

I live in the Springs and my girlfriend told me about this store. One day I was on my way to Denver and decided to stop in and check it out. Wow, what a great consignment store. A very friendly inviting environment. I stop by every time I am anywhere near it. They have great quality clothing, a great selection of new purses and amazing jewelry. The staff is very helpful and honest. I consider them my friends now and I have a blast every time I stop in. I get so many compliments on items that I buy there. This has become my favorite bad habit for sure. Pros: Clean, smells fresh, well organized, happy fun place. Cons: None that I have found more
