I have been going to this store for over 4 years. PJ used to own the store and sold it to Victoria Ewell. I take brand new items and gently used cleaned clothing. I went to pick up a check owed to me for clothes sold before Sept 19th 2013 and was informed that there was a death and I could not be paid. I returned in 3 weeks and was informed of the same. I returned again in two weeks and the Mother of the owner was present when I asked to pick up my check stressing that I had been furloughed and really needed it. The Mother of the owner turned around and yelled at me "" Don't you know someone died "". More than shocked I quietly said I would need to take my business elsewhere but would like to be paid and would come back. I returned 3 more times with a witness . I requested my remaining clothes not sold be returned to me and went through my list with one of the sales persons who said she would pull them. I gave permission for my friend to pick them up during the week because I work full time and don't get off work until 5:00 and have 45-60 min drive home and the store is closed. My friend went to get them and the owner would not give my clothes to her. I then called the store and asked what the problem was and the owner told me I had to get them myself ( I told her I couldn't I was at work). I asked why my clothes were being held hostage and I wasn't getting paid for items sold ($136.00) and she said they were donated. I told her that wasn't legal and asked for her attorney's name and she hung up on me. I returned today with my friend and witness and asked to pick up my clothes and the owner said ""their donated because you didn't come in by the date"". I was very upset and asked why she would do something like that when I had been coming no less than 5 times to try to get my clothes and money owed to me at which the owners response was "" I'm calling the police"". I went and sat in the parking lot and called the police who came and tried talking with her and had no positive response. The officer told me the items were donated last night to "" Hangers"" which is Tri Lakes Cares. I went to "" Hangers' and spoke with the women explaining my situation and was told they had not had a donation from Two Timers for over a month. I left my phone numbers, name etc for them to notify me if they get a donation from Two Timers. This is a ridiculous situation, totally uncalled for and certainly is no way to run a business. I am filing complaints and pursuing this with an attorney. Do not take your clothes to this place, they are dishonest, rude and probably a scam !!!!
