Editorial review from Citysearch 4/2/2013

March 1st we moved with TMT, who did damage several pieces of furniture because of inadequate training and a poor work ethic. Granted its a tough job, but what do these guys think they are being hired for?\r \r The driver and helper offered to handle our second truck load under the table, if we payed them cash, and did not call the office to request more time. We refused and their attitudes quickly got worse, if possible. When my wife was alone at the house for a short time, the pressed her, demanding a cash tip, for poor service and unethical behavior. She just wanted them gone and paid them cash. Had I been there, those baffoons would have gotten a boot where the sun don't shine. That is called extortion through intimidation and a criminal offense. The owners have to know this monkey business goes on and have marginalized themselves to allow it.\r \r Just avoid this company, even with new owners, you have too much to loose and now you are warned! more

Don't Use Them!! 7/24/2011

Made a ""small"" mistake with the name of a company and found out the difference between Two GUYS and a Truck and Two MEN and a Truck. GUYS are not good. They broke several vases and glass table tops. It is not a surprise, as they threw my belongings around and treated them like garbage. They complained the entire time, even saying that I should just take my stuff to the dumpster and that all the furniture would just ""fill up my house"" and was junk. They were slow, lazy, unmotivated, and careless. It was obvious that they were charging by the hour, and to top it off, their original schedule was off by several hours. They also sent two ""guys"" when I had hired three for the size of move I had. And with all that, the final bill was just as high as if I had gone with a big-name company. I had quotes from other companies and because of the time they took, their final bill was just as high. The company backing up the movers is overall irresponsible and immature; the dispatcher was clueless and could not help fix any of the problems. Short version: Stay away from them at all costs. They will cost you dearly in money and damaged belongings. more

Two men and a truck hire have an extremely high turnover rate because who they hire. They drug test only for truck drivers but not for the movers so the odds are you'll get a couple of teenage pot-head/cokehead kids that will be arrogant, ignorant, and very dangerous to be around. This is a very poor company to work for or order service from. Stay far away from this one, folks! more

JOKE OF A MOVING COMPANY 2/18/2011

This company is a complete JOKE. First off, they are NOT the original Two Men and a Truck, nor are they apart of the national franchise, as they would make you believe. I contacted them for some information on moving my 2 bedroom apartment because Two Men and a Truck moved me to VB from Ohio. During the entire conversation, the woman on the phone never corrected me when I told her that the company moved me down here, she just kept on agreeing with me, trying to use it as a way to get me to book with them. DECEIT! I finally figured it out when I went to the actual Two Men and a Truck website and realized that there is no legitimate Two Men and a Truck in VA, just a group of jack-offs posing. Secondly, they are RIDICULOUSLY priced. I called around to a few other places and their rates were WAY lower. Didn't really seem that interested in lowering their price either. Needless to say, I never got a follow up call even though I was told that I would as the office lady would ""check on the pricing"" and get back to me. Thank god I am still not waiting for that phone call. Thirdly, they are sneaky. I went into my leasing office at my complex and saw a Two Guys and a Truck coffee mug with Two Men and a Truck business cards inside of it...seriously? Thats kind of desperate and low to try to use the similarity in another companies name to generate sales. In the end, I went with Two Guys and a Truck (yes, I know, Guys, Men, its confusing). They were more than willing to assist me with any issues I had, take me on short notice, and work with me on the price. Dont call Two Men and a Truck, they are a total joke and wont even bother calling you back. more

I know Two men and a Truck 1/12/2011

Hard working straight up and it sounds like somebody else doesn't know what they are talking about ie: other review. Two Men and a Truck started moving in Tidewater in 1984! Started advertising in the Shopping News (Native locals will remember them) and the C&P yellow pages (Chesapeake and Potomac). And remember the Donnelly Directory - Hello! They know how to move and now you know more about them. Thanks from a VB native. more
