Love It! 10/27/2009

This is such a neat dining spot! After a long day of shopping or running errands, eating here really hits the spot because they always have something I am in the mood for. It also works as a great place to stop by and have a drink at after a long day. And don’t even try to use every ounce of your willpower to stay away from the dessert case, you will, and should cave every time. Pros: Great food, Amazing Dessert more

Try The Brunch 10/22/2009

I am a huge fan of Twisted Fork any day of the week, and my feelings were only reaffirmed when I took my entire family there for brunch recently. We had guests in town, so there were quite a few of us. The staff did an excellent job of accommodating our every need, especially when it came to the kids, and reminded our family why we enjoy being regulars.\r Pros: great food, great service more

Budget hits even twisted fork 7/6/2009

Been there many many times. Last time twoweeks ago. A sad shadow of what it used to be. Foos is now lacklustre...wait staff run ragged. Everywhere cost cutting is obvious. I hope it survives. The weekend brunch was the best. Although it is coming back, I worry about this place. No longer hip...now it seems depressed. more

Highly Recommend the Pork Chops 3/10/2009

My fiance and I recently decided to have lunch at the Twisted Fork since we were shopping at Triangle Town center. I had heard good things about this restaurant, but had actually never eaten there. I ordered the Grilled Boneless Pork Chops and thought they were amazing. I will be going back to the Twisted Fork and highly recommend the pork chops. Pros: Great Location more

Salt.... 1/26/2009

Had a chance to go to Twisted fork last week, they recieved the last dollar of mine they will ever see. I ordered the hanger steak with crab cake. There was enough salt in the crabcake to de-ice my driveway. The caprese app was pitiful size wise and flavor wise. My server seemed to care yet did nothing about it. I even had him taste the salt cake, he agreed that it was not edible. more

Twisted Fork ? not some where we normally go but... 12/30/2008

My fiance and I recently decided to go grab a few drinks and some appetizers at the Twisted Fork ? not some where we normally go but thought we would give it a try. We ordered the dip sampler and some amazing half priced martinis. We had a really good experience - good food, good martinis and good service ? we will certainly be going back. \r \r Pros: good food, good martinis and good service more

TWISTED FORK ? Cool Family Place 12/22/2008

I came here the other afternoon with my husband and two sons, and this place is just cool. My kids couldn?t get over how cool looking the inside of this place was. I had the incredible shrimp dish, and my kids enjoyed macaroni and cheese and chicken fingers (not to mention my kids ate free!!). Also, the service was accommodating for my two young sons. My family had a great time, and if they?re happy, I?m happy!\r Pros: Tasty food, Great Family Restaurant more

Desert anyone??? 10/27/2008

That's all you should go for because that's all that's good there... the menu has an ok selection but nothing really worth while and the service is slow and lazy... I've given this place a few tries but I just can't get into it... the food is over priced for what it is and you can probably make it better yourself. Pros: good deserts Cons: everything else more

Interesting menu, great wait staff! 10/20/2008

After going to the early voting facility at Triangle Town Center, we decided to grab some dinner at Twisted Fork. It was the first time for both of us. We started with sharing the Jambalaya Soup. It was really tasty with the perfect amount of spice. Their home-made rosemary bread is extremely moist, flavorful, and delicious! I had the Wood Fired Filet Mignon with garlic mashed and asparagus. Daryl had the proscuitto wrapped salmon with ""fried"" spinach and garlic mashed. The spinach was really interesting. Apparently they fry it. It becomes kind of papery and flakes off in your mouth. It was a little salty but really a new and fresh idea. While I was hoping for a bigger cut of a filet mignon, it ended up being the right size portion by the time we finished our meal. Our waitor was super nice, explained the menu, told us about their weekly specials (Wednesday: couples night...$39.99 for a bottle of wine, entree a piece, shared dessert), and was extremely attentive despite a party of 20 sitting in the same section. I'd definitely go back. It looks like there's many more things to try on the menu! Pros: Wait staff, menu selection, ambience, food, drink menu Cons: price, I guess more

Early Sunday Afternoon Nightmare 9/28/2008

A first time visit to this restaurant chain with with my family and a out of town in-law. Our experience was nothing but terrible. When placing our orders the waiter after bringing our drinks had to let us know that two of our menu choices were not available. The steaks were not cooked to order and the service was as if we were being rushed. It was addressed to a manager about the food and the only commit was "" I wish I could have been here earlier"". I do not and will not recommend this facility. I also will say that their is a serious fly issue. Pros: Facility, Lighting, Desserts Cons: Fly issues, Food, Service more

Great food for me and great FREE food for the kids 9/9/2008

Going to eat at the Twisted Fork on Sunday with my kids has become a ritual in our family. The kids love the spaghetti, and I love that they eat free after 4 p.m. They have so many amazing choices. It doesn?t get much better than this. Pros: Kids eat free on Sundays after 4! more

The Twisted Fork has everything! 8/7/2008

When my friends and I go out to eat it?s always hard to pick a restaurant because we?re usually all craving something completely different. But at this place has everything. Everyone was able to get what they wanted -salad, pasta, seafood, steak or a sandwich. And they don?t just have one or two of each kind, they have a wide variety to choose from ? great experience. Pros: Great food, Great selection more

Sour Milk 7/31/2008

We have been there 4 times with our kids and 2 out of the 4 times there, our kids were served sour milk. What else is bad with the food if they have bad milk served to kids 50% of the times? Not only that, but we asked only for water as a replacement and without any apology, we got ' We took the milk off your bill"". Well, I would sure hope so since we really didn't get any milk. Nothing more from the waiter or manager. Definitely do not feel safe about the food at this place! more

Unbelievable Desserts 7/8/2008

When I went to Twisted Fork I could not get over the desserts. In fact, I had a problem deciding which one to order. I ended up with the carrot cake and my friends ordered the tia maria cake, and the chocolate sin cake. I?m a huge dessert fan and Twisted Fork really was over the top! Carrot cake is my absolute favorite and I think theirs was one of the best I have ever tasted. I?ll definitely be going back to Twisted Fork. Pros: Desserts more

Typical chain food and service 7/7/2008

The food is pretty typical for a chain, lots of options on the menu but nothing really outstanding. Was ""martini night"" on the night I visited, the martinis were small and not very strong. Most were overly sweet. It took 3 hours to eat dinner, even though the restaurant was not at all crowded. Server disappeared after serving our drinks, we were seated upstairs so no other servers were in sight. Server returned 30 mins later to finally take our food orders with an excuse that she had trouble with a printer and couldn't get anyone to help her fix it. Food took an eternity to get to our table. Manager came out to check on our table, wearing an extremely wrinkled shirt and tie that was too short. He tried to make wisecracks but was not funny. Apple pie was cold in the middle, had to be returned so they could nuke it. Friends and I made the best of the night by catching up on events, but not worth a return visit to this restaurant. more

The best rip off in town 4/22/2008

And I do mean that. Food is overpriced and the portions are miserly. But I love the atmosphere and the wait staff has always been great. Maybe I just enjoy the punishment. more

Excellent meal and cost on Wednesdays 2/18/2008

My husband and I went here for our anniversary meal. We happened to go on a Wednesday night, not knowing the couple's special. I got the steak oscar, it was delish. Meat tender with the crabmeat and hollendaise sauce. It melted in my mouth. Oh, the salad and the dessert and the bottle of wine was great too. My husband got some sort of chicken but liked his well too. Definitely a steal for $39 for everything we got. more

Looks Good, Tastes Bad 1/12/2008

My title definately sums it up... everything looked really great that we saw being delivered to the tables around us so we were anticipating a really good meal. The presentation gets an A but what a disappointment when you actually taste the food. First of all we ordered the hummus which comes with yogurt crackers: I love hummus, I like yogurt & I like crackers but I did not like any of theirs. The hummus tasted like the really bad kind you can buy at the grocery store - sort of slimy and way over seasoned maybe to cover up the unfresh taste of the garbonzo beans. Also the crackers are limp and damp, almost like a a stale saltine that was soaked in water right before being put on the plate. We had one bite and told the waitress in a truly polite way that it was not very good. With no expression, she said ok and walked away. If you're not going to apologize or seem the least bit interested at least take the plate away so we don't have to look at it anymore. By the way, after our experience we also watched people around us as they bit into their yogurt crackers get this expression on their face that said - is it supposed to taste this way? On to the entrees: there were 3 of us and we ordered 3 very different things but unfortunately we did not like any of the 3 things. One was the fettuccine alfredo, one was the club sandwich and one was a caeser salad. I could go into detail on each but instead I'll just say very bland and boring. PS..we did pay for the hummus in case you were wondering. more

Great North Raleigh Bar 1/7/2008

Stopped by the Twisted Fork while shopping over the holidays and found it to be just the break I needed. I came in on a Sunday afternoonn the first time and had a great bloody mary at the bar. It was not a loud sports bar but I could still watch the games. Service was great, drinks were great, just what I needed. Pros: bloody marys Cons: barstools more

Horrible Food, OK Service 12/9/2007

I walked in and the entire place wreaked of a pork smell. \r \r Do not go upstairs if you have any issues with heights. They will sit you on a very 'open' balcony which completely spoiled any appetite I had left after the 'pork smell'.\r \r The waiter was very courteous.\r \r The best sandwich in their selection is limited to a Tuna/Chicken Melt. The salad was good.\r \r The fries are EXACTLY like the ones they sell at Arbys(fast food), with an exception of being a lot drier and overcooked.\r \r I could see down into the kitchen when chefs would open the door..They had this enormous open vat of soup, just sitting there with no lid over it, right where the swinging door was.. (flies anyone?).\r \r Pretty gross.\r \r Overall, I was very disappointed in my experience here. I wish we would have went to Ted's across the walk. more
