This is a pleasant Irish bar in the midst of the Fashion District where I'd never think of going for a drink. We were the the night Michael Jackson thrilled his last thrill, and for some reason the place was empty. The staff was great to us. Especially Alexandria, our Bulgarian waitress-in-training who was had the back luck of having us as her first customers EVER. For an ""Ale House"", the beer selection was rather limited. Maybe 10 drafts and as many bottles. We didn't order entr?es. The Buffalo chicken wings had some kick to them. (Just like Thunder Jackson's the week before. Maybe New Yorkers are finally getting better about spice!) The large back room is a refuge from the narrow standing bar in front. There ARE a lot of TVs, though. I imagine on a crowded sports night, this might be a place to avoid. On a quiet nice, though. It's a nice and quiet place to sit and drink with friends. --Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC drinkers
Pros: Wings with kick, friendly staff
Cons: Fewer beers than expected
