This is a pleasant Irish bar in the midst of the Fashion District where I'd never think of going for a drink. We were the the night Michael Jackson thrilled his last thrill, and for some reason the place was empty. The staff was great to us. Especially Alexandria, our Bulgarian waitress-in-training who was had the back luck of having us as her first customers EVER. For an ""Ale House"", the beer selection was rather limited. Maybe 10 drafts and as many bottles. We didn't order entr?es. The Buffalo chicken wings had some kick to them. (Just like Thunder Jackson's the week before. Maybe New Yorkers are finally getting better about spice!) The large back room is a refuge from the narrow standing bar in front. There ARE a lot of TVs, though. I imagine on a crowded sports night, this might be a place to avoid. On a quiet nice, though. Been here a couple of times. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Prices are reasonable ($4.50 for Coors Light) and the food menu is very good. There are numerous tv's around the bar, most of them showing soccer if at all possible, but most of them aren't that big. Locale is a little out of the way though.
