I just wanted to say thanks to Marty. He did a fabulous job repairing my Ford Explorer. My car is running better than it was before. Not only were your associates professional and helpful, they were extraordinarily courteous. and then for you to do the work on my Astro Van at no charge in order to acknowledge a good turn done on your behalf some 15 years ago; all I can say is that you are a man of rare character and honor. My experience with the Transmission Store was very positive, though my situation was not. (The only gear I had left was reverse—not fun driving down West End in reverse at midnight.) The owner, Marty, was very informative and respectful (not to mention sympathetic). I had called around to other stores and they wanted an arm and a leg to replace my transmission. My neighbor recommended the Transmission Store and I was about in tears when I talked to the owner. He put my mind at ease with out gutting my pocketbook. Went to the Transmission Store as part of my quest to fix an ailing Suburban. I had different stories from various repair shops, including the dealer. Marty and team had great customer focus and got me fixed up at a reasonable price. He made sure I knew everything he was doing and treated me as a valued customer - which I am for good now. more

I ran into transmission troubles on my vehicle about 100 miles east of Nashville and just made it into town the night before. Nobody could recommend a place to take my car to so I checked Google and this place had a good recommendation. They got me a cup of coffee and fixed the problem (a missing external filter)--which could've been very serious--in about an hour for $50. GREAT shop!!! more

This place has the best and most honest mechanics around. Isn't that what we're all looking for when our cars are on the fritz? I have used them on three different vehicles with a variety of problems ranging from AC to a transmission service. They have great prices and they have given me options that I need to hear, not what I want to hear. I would rather spend a few extra dollars for a lasting solution, rather than a quick, short fix. more

When the transmission in my Jetta went out the dealership said $5,500 + and they even said smaller shops don't have the right equipment to look at VWs. The Transmission Store had it apart and fixed in two days, for $1200. Kept me informed throughout the process and explained everything very thoroughly. I hope I never have to use them again but if I do have a transmission issue I would not go anywhere else. more

My Black Volvo wagon had a “shimmy” after a transmission rebuild at a different shop. I want to thank Marty and his crew at the Transmission Store for a fine job fixing the problem. You have a refreshing shop in that honesty seems to run rampant. Believe me, that is not a normal feeling I’m left with after having work done on a part of the car about which I am totally ignorant. I was driving on I-265 when my transmission broke and I had to pull over immediately. I was towed to the Transmission Store and I'm so glad I chose them. They were so kind to me and did everything they could to get me on the road as soon as possible. The repairs went faster than I expected them to and I appreciate their kind service. more

I was recommended by a friend. When i brought my car in, i knew it needed a lot of work and i was worried that it would cost me an arm and a leg.. But i brought my car in and was pleased to hear that they could save me a lot of money, and my car was finished in just a few hours! This is a very honest, professional, and helpful company. I have a diesel truck and when I took it in they completely made sure everything was back up and running. I really appreciated the fact that on some of the problems that weren't normal they fixed so that problem didn't happen again. Customer service is outstanding, the prices were extremely fair and these guys really stand behind their work. more

My cousin is a customer of theirs and recommended them to me. I had another shop look at my car and told me it was going to be an expensive fix. The staff here was very professional, personable, and helpful. They had the work done in under 2 hours and it was a lot cheaper than the other shop had told me. I'm really glad I chose them to work on my car! more
