Sad Sad Sad 2/25/2003

These tacos are to cry for. This place has some pathetic tacos, the shells are on par with Taco *ell and the ground beef filling isn't much better. The Meat Burrito is OK, nice chunks of beef and a decent sauce. I can never get over why this place draws such a crowd. It must be that there are so many people arriving to LA, who've never tasted real Mexican food and think that Titos is genuine. I grew up within two miles of Titos, its been years since I've cared to stand in the long lines or eat their food. more

suckito's 2/18/2003

this place is way over-rated. tastless, bland, insipid - bottom line, the food sucks. overpraised in an attempt to find something alternative and cool by losers all over LA. Too harsh? I would pay not to eat here - or pay double to eat at taco bell or baja fresh instead. lame. Pros: dirty, smelly, remote Cons: all, all, all more

It's not Mexican ! 2/7/2003

The salsa comes out of a Blender! Too bad greed rules over real Mexican food. This is a Slop Joint! The food on street carts in Ensenada is so much better than here. Why when they have a full blowen kitchen do they serve slop! we're to blame for supporting MickyD's and Jack in the crack and Tito's. Pros: nice trees outside, nothing good here, 1 up from taco bell Cons: no flavor, production food, hard cold chips more

It's meet the test of time! 2/1/2003

I started eating at TITO'S in 1966, and the management figured out that CONSISTENCY, value quality are never to be compromised. This place has greatest customer loyality for a Mexican resturant I have ever seen. This is one of those places that you go for not only the food but also the EXPERIENCE. TITO'S rules as the very best Fast Food resturant in all of L.A. I still go out of my way whenever I'm traveling through L.A. Pros: waiting lines/value, consistency/quality, authentic flavor/hour Cons: waiting lines, parking, parking more

The Best in Town 2/1/2003

There is no better Mexican food in L.A. than Tito's Tacos. I am born and raised in L.A. and their food which consists of home-made burritos, tacos, enchilidas, tamales all cost below $5.00 each. The taste is delicious and nothing is too spicy for anyone to eat! What the Super Bowl without Tito's?!! Pros: inexpensive, quick, delicious Cons: bad parking, always crowded more

May be the food version of heroin 1/31/2003

Is it "good"? Not for your waistline. Is it "quality"? Are you kidding? Authentic Mexican? Not in your lifetime! Call it California-Suburban-Mexican-American, and then stand in line and get KILLER, ADDICTIVE tacos, tamales, and enchiladas. I try to go to Tito's every week. I've been going there since high school (over 25 years). It STILL hits the spot. Pig out for under $6, fill up reasonably for $4. Imagine Taco Bell, but with better meat and thicker cheese.....plus stuff fried in lard (I think). A zillion employees scurrying around. A great mixed LA crowd in line. I used to be a snob and preferred the place next door, but then I realized that food for the masses can be immensely satisfying. Tito's it is. Secret: ask for the spicy green salsa. Few people know about it. Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Filling Cons: Freeway noise, Calories more
