Is it ""good""? Not for your waistline. Is it ""quality""? Are you kidding? Authentic Mexican? Not in your lifetime! Call it California-Suburban-Mexican-American, and then stand in line and get KILLER, ADDICTIVE tacos, tamales, and enchiladas. I try to go to Tito's every week. I've been going there since high school (over 25 years). It STILL hits the spot. Pig out for under $6, fill up reasonably for $4. Imagine Taco Bell, but with better meat and thicker cheese.....plus stuff fried in lard (I think). A zillion employees scurrying around. A great mixed LA crowd in line. I used to be a snob and preferred the place next door, but then I realized that food for the masses can be immensely satisfying. Tito's it is. Secret: ask for the spicy green salsa. Few people know about it.
Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Filling
Cons: Freeway noise, Calories
