Off the Charts 7/31/2003

Tito's burritos don't attempt to do anything but combine simple ingredients for an unbelievable flavor. Nothing tops the Regular Meat, Bean & Cheese burrito... for incredibly tender meat, fantastic taste, and a perfect price. more

Why Wait In Line? 6/27/2003

The only thing latin about this place is the people behind the counter serving, what in my opinion is, the absolute worst food. Why people stand in line is beyond my comprehension, especially when there is another Mexican fast food 100 feet away. Cons: Poor Quality, Crowded, No value more

Too much hype 6/18/2003

The tacos are good but not as "special" as some would like you to believe. They remind me the Jack in the Box tacos but a little better and 2X the price. The really stupid thing is that the same person who takes your order also makes your food, causing the long line which makes the place look more crowed than it really is. more

Good Fast Food 5/11/2003

The lines can get VERY long and the parking lot can be a nightmare. There's nothing particularly great about this place, either. The food is not authentic and the salsa is not spicy at all. Nonetheless, if you're considering Taco Bell or Del Taco, come here instead. The portions are larger and taste much better. I've been going here since I was a little kid and I agree with my parents ... it was much better back then. Pros: Better Fast Food, Huge Burritos Cons: Long Lines, Horrible Parking, Is that really salsa? more

Neighborhood Icon 5/5/2003

The beef tastes like it came out of a Hormel can (which it probably did), and the hard shells remind me of my junior high school cafeteria (which is nearby). It must be on the one major post softball league route home. Quick! Get me to La Salsa! more

Not really a restaurant 4/25/2003

but a fast food place with the best Mexican fast food in the Los Angeles area. Not dirt cheap, but inexpensive for what you get. Prices have gone up recently about 15-20%. This gringo LOVES their green salsa... Cons: too damn busy! more

Prices have gone up some 20% or so in the last year, so no longer a super bargain. Still, it's the best Mexican fast food in the greater Los Angeles area. more

Great Tacos, everything else is fair. 4/17/2003

Keep in mind, the name of the place is ""Titos TACOS"" meaning the tacos are the only great item on the menu. They are fantastic, but don't bother wasting your money on any other entre. Pros: Great Tacos, Fresh, Fast Cons: Poor Parking, Always a Line more

The Worst in LA 3/7/2003

The bland and tasteless menu offers up some of the worst Mexican food in Southern Cal. To say this place is overrated is the biggest understatement in the world. The service is mean and unhelpful and the ambience is like eating out of a dumpster. Avoid at all costs! Pros: Cheap Cons: Tatsteless, Rude Service, No Parking more
