A great place to chill 1/28/2010

The Tasting Room has long been a Seattle favorite. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, which is helpful to those who can be intimidated by selecting a wine. You'll always meet someone new sitting at the bar and there are lots of games to entertain you while it's raining outside. I bring out of town friends in and we always have a fun time. A tail wag from the resident Golden Retriever makes it a perfect afternoon or evening stop. Pros: Great wine selection, neighborhood vibe, Market proximity Cons: Parking more

I like the reds and they all look so good 1/28/2010

We were visiting from San Francisco and a friend suggested the Tasting Room. What a great concept, wish there was a place like this in San Francisco. Where else can you taste wines from 6 different wineries without getting off your stool. Prices are very reasonable. Several tables were playing games while enjoying the evening. It was just an all around perfect place to go right in Seattle. Pros: A wide variety wines to taste, great service, & great place Cons: They had to close and we had to go home more

Excellent Atmostphere, Great Wine! 1/28/2010

For my best friend's birthday, my wife and I took he and his wife for a bottle of Rich Harvest. We were seated at a large table and ordered the bottle and a cheese plate. We grabbed a game from the shelves full of games, and played at our table while we enjoyed our wine and cheese. We were there for a couple of hours. It was one of the most memorable outings in Seattle that we've had. The staff was very committed to making our experience great, especially since it was my friend's birthday. They even brought out free champagne. We had a marvelous time, and have been back several times. On my birthday, my friend returned the gift, and we enjoyed another bottle of Rich Harvest (highly recommend!). Pros: Great Selection more

The Tasting Room is the Most Down to Earth Wine Room in Town 1/28/2010

The Tasting Room is the place to go for fine wines, folks who know about their wines, a kind greeting at the door by Malcolm (furry friend) and Staff. It's a great place to cozy up to the bar and tell the girls about your day's events or an even greater place to learn about Washington Wines. Pros: Staff Knowlege/Personal Attention more

Inexcusable Etiquette 8/15/2005

Husband and I arrived with bells on to experience some of the delectable wines from the northwest region. While neither of us consider ourselves connesieurs, we have a knowledgable backgroud of wine. Upon arriving we were not greeted, nor were we steered in ANY direction in order of tastings based on our personal preferences. Their list was confusing and the staff was unknowledgable and stuck up. The overall experience here was unfavorable, and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Save your money! more
