BIG MISTAKE after a very successful diet. I brought 2 huge bags of my most lovely items. New or like new, one of my jackets was in the window. I came back after three weeks with more thinking they would have a check for me. WHAT JACKET they said? The one I bought last year for 120.00, never worn. It was new with tags and was in your window 3 days ago. No records. TWO BATCHES of lovely items. I collected a total of $15 and was unable to retrieve anything that I left with them. Thieves, THIEVES!! Buyer or seller BEWERE, this is a most unscrupulous operation. more

Poor Service, Dusty & Dirty 11/14/2010

I am perplexed as to how the Pink Closet is still open and making money...how do they make money?! I have heard quite a few people mention that the Pink Closet Consignment shop has been around forever & is well known. So when I popped in one day, I was a bit shocked by the lay-out, the goofy owners, and the clothes (dreadful, sad, not cool) and the store itself (old dirty carpet, cobwebs and dead bugs in the windows, dusty clothes). But I have been going to consignment shops, thrifts stores and goodwills/salvation army stores for ages & I know that you have to kind of dig around to find the goods & never judge a book...... But all I've ever seen (the 3 times that I visited) was dusty old fashioned mis-matched shoes in plastic bins, dirty scarves, wigs!, hats, cheap leather jackets, old cosby sweaters, sequined/shoulder padded jewish grandma skirt-suits....basically this place is still trying to live in the late 80's/early 90's ( and NOT in a cool, indy hipster way!!) The reason I have gone in those 3 times was because I was hoping and crossing fingers that I could redeem this place, but no, it's all the same stuff, still dirty, the owners are still un-friendly, the place is trashed and the cobwebs are growing. It's a shame, they have a good name, good location, and everyone knows them, they need to care if they want to make money and stay in business, and it seems they don't care at all....they are obviously not keeping up with the times and they don't care that their shop is looking more like an episode of ""Hoarders"" than a Consignment shop....sad really. Save your time and go to one of the many other consignment / thrift stores around town. more

DO NOT CONSIGN HERE !!! BBB rated F !!! 9/12/2010

I am Devastated, and feel like a Fool...This shop/owner LIED and ROBBED my family's estate. Never producing proper paperwork (""we take care of all that"") when I was wanting to write down all he was keeping to consign...They marked down clothing, (I had repeatedly said I wanted to pick up all my items..NO MARK DOWNS !! ),them asking for more time to try to sell...NEVER returning phone calls...and being abrupt and putting pick-up date off for WEEKS...3 MONTHS.....Finally a sketchy list in unreadable ""henscratch""...highest price 6 or 4.00...when I found items of mine still on shelves...marked 18.00+.....We were paid 107.00 for over 90 items (hats, shoes, boots, gloves, silk scarves, High-end dresses, suits, sweaters, blouses, slacks, and excellent quality robes and gowns...HE IS MAKING HIS LIVING OFF OF OTHER PEOPLES GOODS!!! There are too many good and Reputable Consignment shops in the Twin Cities...PASS THIS ONE UP !!!! PLEASE !!!! more
