DOUBLE IPA OR THE XXXXX STOUT 1/31/2012

BEST BEER IN SEATTLE!. the Pike Brewery is awesome if you like great beer and excellent local food!... Family owned... they use local sustainable food (try the Wild Spicy Salmon). They have a gravity flow brewery system (ask for a FREE tour of the brewery, or call ahead and set up a FREE tour for your party).... Huge place (you can reserve a party for more than 20 people for the same day you call).... TVs to watch a game... I love taking my friends and family here .... great place for tourists and locals alike!!! more

Exceptional 9/4/2011

I am always so impressed every time i visit. more

Great beer, food and atmosphere 8/9/2011

Stopped by Pike Brewing last weekend for lunch. Fun place to grab a burger and try a few beers. It does get crowded because it is so popular so be prepared. They do have a lot of seating so they can handle big crowds. Try a kilt lifter beer and live it up! more

Enjoyed it 6/20/2011

I'm not a big beer drinker, but I've really enjoyed my visits here. The beers are really tasty and the food is good too. Great sandwiches. If you are going to an event at the Showbox across the street, this the perfect place to warm up before going! more

Nothing Special 8/28/2010

My wife and I visited this place today for happy hour. To be fair, we did not get past the somewhat inhospitable bartender (or whatever you call the guy who works behind the bar in today's PC society). I asked simply, what he had on tap that was the closest thing to a lager..... ...and was somewhat curtly informed that ""This is an ale house..."" Funny thing is that the name of the brewery says nothing about ale: The Pike Place Brewing Company could in fact brew lager. He was courteous enough to slap the menu down on the bar in front of me before walking away. Needless to say, we walked away after that treatment. The place was loud and crowded, so that can't be a bad sign. But this place did have a whiff of ""biker bar"" about it (if that's your scene). Anyway that may not be a fair review, since we didn't have the chance to taste their beer or food. Chance it if you must. But as a local (of 6, almost 7 years) I can say there are better places to eat and drink in Seattle; especially if hospitality is a consideration. more

Make mine a Pike's stout please. 7/7/2010

Now that the Pyramid is owned by Magic Hat on the East Coast you will see me at the Pike Brewery a lot more often. Great beer and good friends make this place a winner. Pros: Locally owned, great beer Cons: Parking more

Must visit location that you'll want to visit more often 3/24/2010

This was a must visit location for us as out of towners. My husband insisted on this being one of our first stops in town and we ended up staying all evening for dinner and beer sampling. The bartender, David, went above and beyond our expectations visiting with us, giving suggestions on other places to see and local fun spots to hang out at while we were in town. The only con for us is that we like a quieter environment and it had quite an ""after work"" crowd going. We visited other breweries while in town, and at the end of the weekend concluded that Pike's was definitely the best for not only beer, but service, food and environment. We just wish we lived closer so we could visit more often! oh and get your beer into more stores in the Portland area! Pros: Beer, service Cons: happy hour noise level more

Tourist Attraction That Locals Also Love 1/20/2010

This has become a default destination when wandering downtown Seattle. The brews are above average and the menu is extensive enough that it will please anyone but not so large that an indecisive person like me will take forever to decide. The decor can serve as an ice breaker and has even become a full blown conversation. Pros: Location, Beer more

Great beer. Good for family or after work 1/17/2010

We stopped in today to have a brew and a bite for the kids. Kids liked their stuff and the brews were great. Service was great too. I recommend going here anytime. Pros: Beers, Service Cons: Parking more

Great after work hangout 10/1/2009

I love this restaurant and have been a number of times. The beer is above average and the food has been great most times that we have come. The only drawback that it has is the location. It is always such a pain to get down to the market and find parking but when you do this is a great reward. Just remember to ask for the number for the restrooms, I guess that they try to keep it for patrons only but I always forget the number on the way after a few beers. Pros: The beer choices and chowder Cons: location more

Great Atmosphere - Poor Food 6/8/2009

We went on a busy Saturday afternoon. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated, we were unfortunately served poor quality food to our child. My son is 5 years old. He ate the chicken tenders and french fries. Within an hour he was sick. After a doctor's appointment, we were told he had bacterial f.p. from eating here. Poor business to serve bad food to kids! Will not be return customers. Pros: Fun Atmosphere Cons: Poor Food more

Don't Eat Here if you have a family! 4/13/2009

Took a group of friends visiting from D.C. Thought this would be a great way to show them Seattle. The automatic gratuity for a 'large group' should have tipped us off because we were only 8 people. 4 of which were little kids. Once ordering food, it was VERY hard to get our waitress to bring anything extra (like a refill of water while choking on spicey dinner). The food was about a 3 star, out of 10. Most of our dishes were way over priced, and 2 dishes came out less then satisfactory. Salmon was dry, rice was under-cooked, fries were soggy. Not to mention....how does a kid-sized mac n' cheese cost $14.95? The highlight? Mini Doughnuts afterwards. They are at the top of the stairs on the street. Pros: Great Location, Cool decore Cons: Everything Else more

world class 1/20/2009

I love Pike Brewing co, love all different micro beers they have on tap & also to sell. I like how everyone is friendly & informative if you have a question. more

Good Local Brew 12/5/2008

Great place for appetizers, a beer, and to watch a game. They have a lot TV's in the bar so you can always watch your favorite game. They brew their own beer I would definitely recommend trying their sampler of beer! more

Good beer selection , good food, good location 9/22/2008

This pub has a nice selection of their home made beers, as well as great visiting beers. I found the best taking weiss beer here (similar to those I found in Germany, which are the best) of any place in the USA. more

good food and quality beer 9/9/2008

This pub has a great location right off the Pike Place market. Sometimes we have had a wait to get a table. The beers are always tasty. The musels and the pizza are great! more

Convenient and tasty 8/9/2008

We were in Pike's Place Market as tourists and were hungry for cooked seafood after seeing all the vendors. A gentleman in one of the shops suggested the Pub for fish/chips. We were told a 15-20 minute-wait, but it was less than 10. We had the Halibut and chips, which was delicious and a huge portion. I shared w/my son and the waitress offered to order a ""shared-plate"" for an extra $1 with another piece of fish. I declined and found the regular order was enough for both of us! My brother had a plate to himself and almost couldn't finish it. The tartar sauce was great, very mild, so you could still taste the halibut. The Iced-tea was great with a hint of passion-fruit or something, yummy, and refreshing! Other than her offer to help our order, our waitress was adequate, not very friendly, and we had to ask for more of anything we needed, such as ice-tea, coke, napkins, and glad we were next to the station or it may have been hard to track her down. We'll be talking about that halibut for a while, yummmmmmmm! Pros: the halibut, great portion size, great iced-tea Cons: waitress could have been more friendly and available more

Better than before! 4/11/2008

First visit was visually dark and Stephen King-ish like which made for no fun. But since they've redone the interior, its a LOT nicer. The beer is good, staff is friendly and the overall atmosphere is genuinely fun and inviting! more

The food is not bad. I had a party here for about 30 people, the staff were very accommodating. I would recommend booking there if you need a place... more

microbrew heaven 3/11/2008

I could sit in here all day and try the different beers. Did not have a bad one! I think I recall eating as well, but am not going to swear to that one, I believe it was pretty good! I will be going back on our next visit. more
