Okay, in the name of full disclosure I have to admit that I'm pretty biased. I have been coming to the People's happy hour once a week for almost 5 years now, and know the awesome...

Therer are only two bonuses about this place. 1 Jesse works here, and 2 the location. Someone needs to teach the bartenders how to make a proper bartenders margarita.

Stick with the beer 9/13/2002

While the beer list makes the People's Pub worth a visit, the food just isn't that good. I've had GOOD german food (Sudwerk in Davis, CA) and found the food at People's Pub pretty mediocre. Definitely not worth a 'Best of' rating in my opinion. Pros: good beer list Cons: mediocre food more

The food is excellent. The staff is friendly. Everyone who enters ends up having a good time even if they arrived in a bad mood. Pros: inexpensive, excellent food, quiet Cons: parking more

People's Pub has a huge selection of German and domestic beers on tap (plus full bar), and the German food is just right. I go for the food, but end up staying for hours just to hang out. Just a top notch place to enjoy. Pros: Inexpensive, Atmosphere, Great beer and food Cons: Small, Bad Parking more

this is a place so devoid of pretension it's like a home away from home. Go in the afternoon for a hearty meal and a pint or two. more
