I looooooooove Eclectic Chef. The pasta salad is out of this world, the service is always great and the portion sizes are nothing to complain about!!!! \r They catered my wedding back in '07 and they did an awesome job! I've continued to love their food, service and atmosphere! more

I have been a fan of the Eclectic Chef ever since it's opening. From the amazing pasta salad to the great gourmet to go, the Eclectic Chef has become a staple of the small Summerville dining scene. My personal favorite is the Strawberry Bleus salad. Loaded with fresh strawberries and candied pecans this salad is to die for. I have never had an issue with the staff and have always had quite an enjoyable experience while dining there. While the portion sizes have fluctuated it does not deter from the quality of the food. As long as they keep the fresh ingredients and friendly staff I will continue to go there. To the other reviewer I recommend going back again. The Eclectic Chef is, in my opinion, quiet wonderful! I used to like this little restaurant in the heart of Summerville. The food was great and you got plenty of it. I would always see at least one welcoming smile as I got up to the counter.\r \r I have been coming to The Eclectic Chef for probably 2 years or more now. After the beginning of this year things went far downhill. The service lacks because the wait staff is far too busy talking to each other or just acting as though they wished you would go away. The food is not longer as large an amount or as tasty. Prices have gone up, but food quality has gone down. Consistency is an issue. And at these prices, the food should come on a plate, not a plastic basket.\r \r Overall, I do like the gourmet-to-go, but my family and I will not be returning anytime soon just because the staff is rude.
