I have bought Valentine's, Christmas and birthday gifts in the chocolate shop for years, and was excited when they expanded to include a cute sit-down area for eating cake and ice cream. The ice cream is what draws me and my friends, and while I'm sure the cake is good, I've never had it and don't take out-of-towners there for that. Make sure you take advantage of the fact that you can try as many different flavors as you want before you buy. My favorite is the orange chocolate ice cream, but some of my friends don't like it. I'm huge on chocolate (regular, dark, not white as much), but when someone had me try their lemon white chocolate, I was surprised by how it was different from what I expected and how much I enjoyed it. Their truffle ice cream has real huge truffles in it--it's tough to finish! As you can imagine, if you like chocolate, you'll probably like most of their ice cream flavors. It may have a slightly different vibe from places like Jaques Torres (Brooklyn, New York) and exquisite chocolatiers I've visited in Paris, but I think the chocolate here is pretty good in comparison, and I'm proud to have such a great shop so close to home.
Pros: One of the best ice cream shops around, excellent gift choices available
Cons: Parking available mostly on side streets when busy, expensive if you're not used to paying more than Blue Bell
