Friendly courteous service 7/22/2011

Rented a trailer from the Barn and have purchased my propane and beverages in the past. The staff is always friendly and polite; some of the customers need to chill out. I stood behind a guy that was perturbed that that they didn’t have the type of U-Haul truck that he wanted. Justin tried to explain that he only had what came to him, and that most of the small U-Haul trucks were up in around the tornado ravage areas like Joplin and in Oklahoma. That people that lost or had significant damage to their homes were actually using them to store what they could salvage. I appreciate their convenience. more

I called on Friday evening to reserve a U-Haul truck. The guy said he had 2 14 footers and would save me one. I called the next morning to confirm and was told there was no 14 foot truck to be had. He asked me who I had talked to. He doesn't even know who works at his own store? What a way to run a business. more

Bad attitude service 11/7/2010

Bad: The guy's attitude. Other: While camping at Jim Hogg RV Park I went to the Barn to buy propane. The guy told me it was $30 for a 30# bottle. I told him it was $20 at Georgetown on Highway 29, and he said "Then that's where you need to go to get it, I hope you don't use up all your savings getting there." I assured him that it would cost me less than $2 to save $10 and left. With attitude like this, I'll go back to the Barn if I can't find propane in a 50 mile radius, and that's why I'd give them a "D".. more

Cheap fast propane, bait, beer, & great friendly service 11/8/2005

And fried turkeys at Thanksgiving! (order well ahead of time -- they sell out fast!) Where else can you fill your propane tank, buy some beer, live bait, and order your Holiday turkey? The Barn is a Georgetown institution that I'm hoping stays around for a long time. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. You can be in and out in just a few minutes with exactly what you needed, and not have to fight any crowds. more
