I HAD SUCH A HARD TIME FINDING BOOKS FOR UHD, AND I DEF DIDNT WANT TO BUY THEM ON CAMPUS CAUSE THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! MY FRIEND TOLD ME BOUT TEXT XPRESS AND I FELL IN LOVE! THEY NOT ONLY ORDERED MY BOOKS BUT SAVED ME A LITERALLY A CAR NOTE (OR 2) ON BOOKS! AND THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE I GOT THEM ON TIME BC WE ARE ON A DIFF SCHEDULE THAN LONESTAR. Best place to buy your books1 9/12/2011

I struggled with financial aid and ended up trying to buy my books really late. This store went out of their way to help me out. I got better prices, faster service and great customer service. Their staff was incrediably friendly! I was also able to get my books for other campus's as well. I would recommend this place to everyone! more

I've been a customer for the past 3 years, this place has always been customer friendly and provided me with the books I've needed for my class courses, and when they weren't available they immediately notified me through phone contact to let me know when the book I needed arrived. I was actually at the book store when the ""false"" incident"" of the store manager cursed at you, in fact, I was the only african american male in the store if you remember seeing me. From what I seen, it was the opposite of what you were saying, the inappropriate language came from you, the police were called and you were given a citation, it was a very poor judgement on your part for not only being disrespectful to people who were trying to help you but for screaming at cops I'll have to say that was very out of line. So because you proven yourself to be an ass that day, you decided to come back and disrespect the store online by telling false accusations, if I can give you a bit of advice, don't become a lawyer more

ALREADY filed a complaint with the BBB. 9/8/2011

So i paid for a book in august. It is now September and I havent received the book, the money back for the book, or any USEFUL information about the book. I went up to the store to get a refund and get YELLED at and CUSSED out by the redheaded store manager named Courtney about how they have been up there for 15 hours a day and they cant deal with this right now. Being a customer, I did not care about this of course. They should be more professional and mature and deal with the situation promptly considering they had a month and a half to deal with the situation and NEVER DID. The manager (crazy redhead) actually went as far to call the police to have me removed from the property(RIDICULOUS) then LIED to the police about the occurances in the store. \r DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE OR THE SERVICES THEY OFFER. THE ONLY COMPETENT PERSON WORKING THERE IS A WOMAN NAMED SHANNON AND SHE GETS WALKED ALL OVER BY CRAZY REDHEAD. \r In the end, I did not get my refund YET. I am filing a small claims report against the company to retrieve my money.... and then some.\r I have also filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I would recommend anyone with a bad experience to do the same. more

Please do not waste your time or money 4/18/2011

Okay so I bought a book from them and it had an invoice from amazon. They ordered the book for $14.00 and sold it to me for over 100.00. Then would not let me return it. They order there books off of amazon and sell just below the bookstore prices. You can just order your own books from amazon, half, and the other web sites. The also sell books on amazon and Half (ebay) for less than you can get them in the store and your right management sucks there. These people are from Arkansas and only there to try to take as much money from the campus as they can...do yourself a favor and support you local bookstore on campus. Also when you buy a book on campus you get a lot more money to sell them back on campus, in fact that bookstore staff at Text Xpress will take books to the on campus bookstore during buyback and sell them for half price. more

Worst customer Service Ever 1/24/2011

I have always shopped here for my text books in prior semesters while attending Lone Star and UHD, and never really had a problem. This semester on the other hand is much different, I had to have a textbook ""special"" ordered as they put it, but they ordered me the wrong one. And because it was a ""special"" order they will now not let me return it. They basically took 100.00 dollars from me. What a piece of crap, I would much rather spend more money on a text book and get the quality of service any student should deserve. They defiantly lost me as a customer. If it was possible to give no stars that is what I would give. Give me back my 100 bucks theifs. more

Great Experience! 11/18/2010

I'm not sure what happened with the other people who had a bad experience, but Text Xpress worked with my financial aid, and saved me money. The staff was down to earth and extremely helpful, especially the pretty one with the curly hair! Don't let a few bad apples scare you away! I will continue to buy my books with them and save money. more

Customer Service for this place needs some attention 9/17/2010

First time visiting this place and it was a awful experience. Before I was in the door, 4 clerks were laughing and looking at me, which made me feel very uncomfortable. True, it may not of been about me, but still even afterwards they could not keep their composure. As I walked to the counter, it was confusing, all 4 clerks talked among themselves and playing around, including the manager. They just rang me up and said (you can pick up your book tomorrow). Never asked if this was my first visit or anything. I had to ask about their hours and they stated they close early on Friday, I had to keep picking at them to find out when I could recieve my purchase. OMG, they were awful and short. \r \r Now I try to call them and no answer and no way to leave a message "" Did they leave early"". I am still currently trying to get through and it has been nearly 45 minutes (no lie). What a mess. Next time I will drop the class and register the again before coming back to these clowns.\r Economic or not, THEY SUCK! more

Save Money on Campus and rent 8/17/2010

You can go across the street to the campus bookstore and rent select textbooks. Save your receipts and they allow full returns up to the first week after classes start. more

Bad way to answer the phone and talk to customers 8/25/2009

I call the store and there was a rude lady ""courtney"". So, I happend to stop by and check out the prices the same lady help me out, but she was rude! Over all if you guys have great prices why does it bother you when people is shopping for book and want to know about prices! If this is the way you guys do business you shouldn't train people better! I rather buy my books at school for better customer. service. Pros: horrible service, will never go back again! more

Why dont they give book prices over the phone? 7/22/2009

If your prices are truly ""cheaper"" than Cyfair College why wouldnt you give prices over the phone to get people to definately bring the people in? I decided to go to the cyfair bookstore and found out i saved $25. Maybe Jeremy was just too busy for customers... but at least i didnt even waste my time. Not going there again.
