TEN PIN... GO TO 300 INSTEAD!!!! 5/15/2010

The hostess handling the party was extremely polite and professional. She catered to everyone very well. The food was ok but the presentation can use some work. The price of cocktails was outrages for the establishment. The manager's follow through sucks. I was never told only twenty people could come to the party. Nor did they tell me about a cover charge after 10pm. Needless to say, we will not be returning..... Pros: The hostess Cons: The food, manager, and cost of cocktails more

Awful service and overpriced 6/19/2009

As stated in the previous reviews, pricing at this place is simply absurd, especially for what you get.\r \r We went to a friend's birthday party at Ten Pin, and rented the VIP room with 4 lanes and a seating area. The staff was rude and unresponsive. It took about 4 tries to get the waitstaff to bring us a drink. We were not given what we were promised (bowling pin to sign for our friend) instead we got an old polo shirt with someone else's name monogramed on it. When our 2 hours were up, we stepped outside of the private room to see that the club had transformed into a nightclub. The music was old-school 80s and some early 90s. The crowd was decidedly seedy, a bunch of ""players"" and not a white person in sight. \r \r A few of us left to get the cars while the rest stayed to make the best of things and dance a for a bit. When we returned the bouncer refused to let us in to go get our friends. He completely ignored us, despite having reservations. We tried to walk in and were physicly assaulted by the other doormen. The managers finally saw what was going on on the cameras and let us in to grab our friends and leave. \r \r This place is simply awful! Save your money and use it at some place you might actually have a good time. Pros: location Cons: abusive doormen, useless staff, ridiculous prices more

Re: shady bartenders 5/4/2009

First off ten pin doesn't carry strawberry daquiri so that's lie number one more

Shady Bartenders!!!!! 2/7/2009

When asked the price of a bottle of beer we were told the price would be $20. Then a person in my party was charged $12 dollars for a margarita when I paid $29 dollars for 2 margaritas and 1 strawberry daquairi. We then asked the person in charge of bowling lanes the price of a bottle of beer and was told it should have been $6 dollars. The bartenders are padding their pockets instead of serving their customers. DRINK BEFOR YOU GO!!! or YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!! more

Bait & Switch 12/28/2008

When we first entered ten pin, we were impressed with the concept of fusing a nightclub/lounge/bowling alley together in a prime location at Atlantic Station. Then, the ""fun"" began. Immediately, we were told that we could only bowl for an hour because we didn't have reservations (that should have been our sign to leave). After haggling ourselves into two lanes, the eight of us ordered drinks and started bowling. One of the lanes gave us fits from the start, sweeping pins when they shouldn't have been swept, missing pins at the reset, and shutting down in the middle of our second game. Yes, the furniture and big-screen TV's were nice, but I could have done better at Rooms-to-Go, because I can get service there. We left without finishing our second game to make room for the ""reserved"" crowd, and were charged a whopping $240. Now some wouldn't have a problem with paying that much to bowl, and I wouldn't either if I had prior knowledge and a fool's heart for money management. So I strongly suggest if you visit Ten Pin that you (A) read the miniscule sign listing lane rates next to the register (it's to your left...bring your reading glasses), or (B) order a drink or two and watch the fools throw their money into the gutter. Pros: Good location, Decor Cons: Rates, Service more

best place for a party 9/9/2008

i came here for my sister's 21st birthday and had the time of my life. i told her i thought it was going to be a waste of money forbowling and lackluster service, but boy was i wrong. we were waited on like royalty, in our private party room and treated like the only guests there. every time we needed something the waiters seemed to read our mind and it appeared-- food, drinks, more bowlingballs, etc. they were so aware of exactly what we wanted the night to be. i highly reccommend this place for anyone who wants an amazing party of their dreams! Pros: AMAZING service Cons: bowling is sometimes loud more

So cool 9/9/2008

normally when i think of bowling i think of the dollar bowling nights my friends and i used to frequent in high school, so i was kind of skeptical when my roommate reccommended that we go here to celebrate the end of summer. however, i was SO happy i obliged and came. this was a completely different experience than i expected. it was sophisticated, upscale, the food was exotic but still normal enough to be delicious by even a picky eater like myself, and of course had the fun of bowling i remembered from back in the high school days. yeah, it was kind of expensive, but it was more than just a night out-- it was the fun of my childhood and the sophistication of my grown up life now.. an experience too! Pros: reminds me of when i was a kid... but with sophistication, and alcohol too! (greattt drinks) Cons: somewhat pricey more

Rude Employees 12/16/2007

Some friends of mine rented a private room there for a big party...seemed like a great idea at the time. As their party members arrived they were greeted by (1) a BIG bouncer who jumps out at you before you even get to the front door and who is not very friendly and (2) two rude hostesses at the top of the first flight of stairs. They were pointing the party guests in the wrong direction, wouldn't stop their chatting to engage and give correct directions. Giving them feedback later on, that when I asked for where the party was by name (first and last of both husband and wife), they told me (snappily) that I should have asked for it by another name and didn't care much that they were giving others incorrect directions. With the exception of one waitress, I found the staff there to be very rude and apathetic, I won't be going back or recommending it as a party venue to others. more

Very cool place! 6/20/2007

My girlfriends and I went here for a birthday party - and it was awesome. We all had such a great time bowling and the food was great too - very upscale - this is no DIVE bowling alley!!! more

Needs some work 2/22/2007

Okay guys here's the lowdown on the newest spot in Atlanta. This place is perfect for anyone looking to entertain. Bowling is pretty expensive @ $80 a lane ($60 would be nice). The billiards rooms are a solid deal @ $40/hour and offer privacy for 10-20 people. It comes equipped with couches,tv's, and a fancy pool table. The decor is great with the dj on top of the bar and the bartenders are hot :) The place needs to work on the crowd, its too inconsistent. The owners should look into promoters for certain nights to attract the right crowd on a consistent basis. By the way, who ever picked out those videos on the screens (theyre awful). Bottom line the place has a lot of potential and upside if they can adapt to the Atlanta market. more

Great atmosphere, overpriced bowling, be sure and take cash. 2/18/2007

The atmosphere at Ten Pin Alley is wonderful. The decor is that of the 50's and 60's. There are few bowling lanes and even on a Saturday night the wait for a lane was only about 20 minutes. We soon found out why. They don't charge per game, they charge by the hour and to bowl it is $80 an hour. They don't prorate the charge so whether you bowl for 25 minutes or 60 minutes, you are still charged $80. To rent a pool table, the charge is $60 per hour. At the end of the evening when your group is ready to cash out, they won't split the tab, not even 2 ways. You either all bring cash or put the entire tab on one persons credit card. The atmosphere was great but the whole event was over priced and not worth it. Stick to the old fashioned $8 a game bowling alleys, you'll have more fun and you won't be looking at your watch every five minutes to see how much higher your bill is getting. This place is too trendy for it's own good and the over priced entertainment isn't worth it. Pros: Great atmosphere Cons: Way over-priced!!! more

A Total Strike! Great Food, & Entertainment! 2/5/2007

The latest opening by the Dolce Group, the people who brought us the glamourous Dolce Enoteca, has brought us another winner. Located upstairs from Dolce, is Ten Pin Alley. You've never been bowling like this before. Cool neons, high-tek bowling games, and one ultra cool cocktail lounge. The bar/small plate menu is so yummy, you will forget the usual fries w/chili. This is the best entertainment to come to the ATL in years. Very classy, late at night, or just plan a party here with your friends. Next on the bill for the Dolce Group, is Geisha House, right next door. This is a complete night of entertainment, at the wonderful Atlantic Station property. Come upstairs after dining at Dolce, downstairs. Great for a birthday party, girls or boys night out's also. We love the DJ. Maybe a small dance floor later? Pros: Great Bowling Entertainment, Cocktail Lounge, Menu! Cons: Pricey! more
