Best

I didn't expect to find an experience like this in Charlestown. I really like North African food, but I primarily went because a group of my friends wanted to go to a cigar loung...

Worst

Food was okay, had better. Valet was really nice! Also disappointment in mgmt, for additional charges on bill. Went for a friends bday (brought our own cake which we cut ourselves...

We had great food and loved the atmosphere at Tangierino! We were lucky enough to sit in one of the private tents and felt like we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The chicken b'stila is a great appetizers and we loved finishing off with some Moroccan pastries. We will be back to try the hookahs! more

Tangierino is the most exotic restaurant I have seen in Boston. If you aren't already seduced by the pillowy seating, then indulge in your aromatic dish. The food is an experience full of flavour and artfully designed. If you can't go to Morocco, go to Tangierino. more

Pleasantly Surprised 9/25/2003

I typcially am not a fan of Morrocan cuisine, but the food at Tangierino in divine. I had the tuna tartar appetizer which is fabulous with all the contrasting flavors. The lamb kadra entree is fantastic! The sauce is as heartwarming as Christmas. This may sound like a strange analogy, but try it and you will see. Pros: Decor, Food, Wine List more

Hubbly Bubbly ... 4/18/2003

Tangierino has a wonderfully warm ambience which makes it quite possible to get lost in the somewhat moroccan (or at least exoticly different) interior of the restaurant - esp if you are seated in the private room and esp ifyou stare for long enough at the wonderful photographs, lanterns and silver windows. Having said that, the food is hardly a selling point and would be best regarded as tangentially Moroccan and definitely average or worse- especially considering the price. Rather head over to the other side of the restaurant and order up a few sheeshas (available in flavors as disparate as melon, rose and apple - definitely apple!). The crowd can be a bit old but inhale a little aromatic smoke, stare at those mesmerizing eyes on the wall and you may well forget exactly how much you doled out for dinner! Pros: Aura, Tuffah argeela/shesha Cons: Mediocre food more

strange night 3/31/2003

I heard great things about this place. When I first arrived with my party, things were fine. good wine selection, eclectic food, we got a tabacco hookah (pricey but fun to try at least once), diverse crowd. by the end of the night, we were the only ones left in the place and got treated very strangely, the service took a serious down turn, we were ignored, had to wait over 30 minutes for our check to come b/c the staff just dissapeared, then we go yelled at in a language I did not speak. all in all, ok, I guess, maybe it was just an off night for the staff. probably wont go there on a regular basis, if ever again at all. I knwo other rest. that have better moroccan food and pleasant staff. Pros: ambience, interesting food/wine, nice neighborhood Cons: service, not open late more
